About this Cook
Last year I didn't cook at all. I decided I wanted to start cooking meals for my boyfriend and I once in a while. Now I've been cooking about once a week and everything has been a hit so far. Who new I could cook.
My favorite things to cook
My favourite dishes that I have made have been my vegetarian chili, baked ravioli casserole, pulled chicken and mozzarella calzones, and fiesta rice. My boyfriend and I probably most often make pizzas.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph was when my boyfriend told me I'm a really good cook, restaurant quality. I always thought I couldn't cook (and I think he thought the same), until I found all these tasty recipes on and kicked him out of the kitchen.
My cooking tragedies
I was baking one year in February. A cake for the family birthdays and cupcakes for valentines day. When measuring the milk, I beleive it called for 1 cup (maybe 2). I couldn't find our regular measuring cup, but I found something else. I measured and poured the milk into the cake mix, then I realized this cup i was using was a litre, not a cup. I tried scooping out excess milk, but finally just had to add the second mix I had. Turned out having a cherry chip/chocolate cake that was a light brown color. The kitchen was in bad condition after the whole ordeal. There was chocolate batter everywhere. I was also doing this in a rush so it was stressful. I've never been one for baking. Cooking seems to be my thing!

Barbecued Chicken Calzones
I made these for four people and nothing else. Everyone barely finished, they were so filling. Very tasty. I used different dough because the grocery store didn't have Pillsbury. It was very hard to roll out until I added more flour. I boiled and pulled four chicken breasts and added Kraft BBQ sauce to them myself. Next time I'll just buy a whole chicken I think, each one doesn't need a full chicken breast and it’s a waste of money to buy that way when you’re going to pull it anyway. Definitely an easy recipe if you don't have a lot of ingredients on you. Just chicken, BBQ sauce, mozzarella, and dough! (and extra flour in my case) I did, however, receive suggestions for adding some veggies next time, such as onions or green peppers.

Easy Mouthwatering Baked Ravioli
This was a big hit. I used ground chicken and got a bag of tex mex instead of getting both mozzarella and cheddar. I think I just added all of my ingredients (all of the chicken, all of the ravioli and all of the cheese... just eyeball it. you can't really mess it up). I made this for four people and ended up with enough for seconds and leftovers.

Becca's Bruschetta
Little tip if you don't use parmesan. I kept waiting for the cheese to melt, until my boyfriend told me that feta doesn't melt. It got a bit dried out in my opinion but my sister showed up and said it was the best bruschetta shes ever had.
