Chocolate Chip Cookies V

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2013
My husband's favorite type of cookie is chocolate chip. Didn't want to do the same ole Nestle recipe. Baked a batch of these cookie. Only changes I made was cut the salt to 1/2 tsp, used french vanilla pudding & cut the vanilla down to 1 tsp. They were delicious. Best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made. The cookies come out puffy then fall slightly. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, but not doughy. Husband just tasted them and said they are wonderful! This is a keeper!

Rhubarb Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
The only changes I made was I used dry rosemary (did not have fresh) and seasoned croutons in place of the day old bread. My rhubarb was frozen. My husband said it was a keeper. In fact I will be making it again for when his mom comes for supper. Great melody of flavors.

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Was looking for a quick breakfast recipe. Found this and decided to give it a try. Only changed a few things. Cooked the whole package of bacon, added some mozzarella cheese and used fat free seasoned croutons. Did not have any peppers on hand so was unable to put any in. Loved it without the peppers. We will be keeping this recipe to put together when famliy comes to visit. Quick, easy and basic.

Coconut Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Bread was delicious. Did not have self-rising flour. Made my own by adding 1 1/2 teasp. backing powder & 1/2 teasp. salt. Then increased temp. to 360 degrees, used 9x5 metal, greased pan. Baked for 50 minutes and probably could have baked another 3 minutes or so. Bread a little gooey at bottom. Bread did not rise very high. I did not expect it to from other reviews. My husband said this recipe is a keeper. Will make again.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

I tripled the ingredients and it was just a little too salty for our taste. Next batch I will follow the directions just as they are and see how that works.

Fruit Salad in Seconds

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This salad is perfect for my new son-in-law who has diabetes. I let people add their own cut up bananas. That way they don't get brown or mushy if the salad isn't all eaten up the same day.

Chicken Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Had some left over chicken stock from another recipe. Used that in place of some of the water. Used red peppers instead of green. Did not find meat tortellini so I used cheese tortellini. My husband and I both think that it needed a little more salt. Even though we normally don't salt things alot. Recipe was very good. Will add more tortellini next time.

Chicken Fried Steak III

This is a keeper. The only thing I did was reduce the cayenne pepper and chili powder. A little messy to make. The family did like it, so I will make it again.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
LOVED THIS RECIPE!!!! The only thing I changed was increasing the sugar and choc. chips to 1 cup and put in a 9x9 clear glass baking dish. It was very cake like and moist. The only thing my family said that would make it a 5 star recipe was to add walnuts. It did not even have time to finish cooling before my family devoured the whole thing. It does not need frosting of any kind. Increasing the sugar and choc. chips makes it sweet enough.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2005
My family LOVED Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili. The only things I did differently is cut out the jalapeno peppers, reduced the amount of green chili peppers, cumin, oregano and cayenne pepper. Our family does not like real spicy food. I also pureed 1/2 of the amount of white beans and this made the chili creamer. This recipe is a "Keeper" according to my family.
