Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Wonderful recipe! I also added 1 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg to the the sauce mixture, poured most of it over the apples and then the rest on top of the lattice crust. For the crust I just used Pillsbury refrigerated roll out crust. It was delicious! It was even better warmed up. Everyone in my family loved it and there were no leftovers! I will definitely be making this again!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
If I could give this 10 stars I would! Awesome marinade. It's hard for me to eat a plain steak after having this marninade. I used filets and it came out so tender and juicy and full of flavor. I will definitely use this again and again! Thanks!

Aunt Bev's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
Great recipe! This was my first attempt at an apple pie and it turned out delicious! I used granny smith apples and sliced them somewhat thin. I used the recommended cook time and it came out great! This was a great treat at our Thanskgiving. Thank you!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
These were sooo good! I made directly as instruced with just a couple of minor alterations. The icing calls for 3T of milk which made a really thick consistency. I used 5T and it was still thick and did not "drizzle" well. I ended up adding a dash of cinnamon to the icing and iced the cookies instead of drizzling. They were soft and very good! They were gone in a day. This recipe is a keeper!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Great recipe! This is one that will be my staple chili recipe. The only changes I made was I omitted green pepper and celery and used diced tomatoes in its own juice instead of tomato juice. I cooked it for Halloween last night and got rave reviews! I even had the recipe requested!

I give it 5 stars because of how quick and easy this is. I always have chicken on hand and when I haven't planned anything in advance I know I can always rely on this. Plus it tastes great!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
AWESOME! I love peanut butter and this pie hits the spot without being overly sweet. I prepared just as the recipe is written and used 1 graham cracker crust and one chocoate crust. The chocolate crust is much better! I also topped with crushed peanut butter Oreo cookies. It was a huge hit!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
Very good! Was a big hit at Thanksgiving. I doubled the topping recipe as others suggested and it was perfect. Another person suggested cooking on LOW instead of HIGH and I wish I had followed that. HIGH started to burn and then I had to turn it down. It was a hit nonetheless.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
One of my favorite sandwich recipes I have found. I do substitue 1/2 c. less sodium soy sauce with 1/2 c. regular and I use half beef broth and half water. We add some provolone cheese, stick it on the buns and broil. Love it!
