Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
These were terrible. I did exactly as the recipe stated and they looked like bland chicken so I put them under the broiler so they would get crisp and browned but they had NO flavor.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2005
Very salty and the smell of the garlic was absolutely overwhelming that I couldn't eat it. My husband ate it and said it was not something he would ask to have again. The plus to this recipe is that it was easy to assemble and the meat was very tender; just falling apart.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I don't know what I could have done different as I followed the recipe to a 'T.' It was horrible. The sauce was runny and I even tried to thicken with cornstarch. It had no flavor at all. It was fork tender after cooking on high for 4 hours but what a waste on a nice pork tenderloin. Hubby ended up eating a frozen tv dinner and me and the kids had cereal :(

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
One of my favorite sandwich recipes I have found. I do substitue 1/2 c. less sodium soy sauce with 1/2 c. regular and I use half beef broth and half water. We add some provolone cheese, stick it on the buns and broil. Love it!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
Terrible. I have made these twice-once before using original recipe and again following others advice of using 1/2 ketchup, 1/2 BBQ sauce. Sauce was thin but worse than that was the taste. Very sweet and tasted like ketchup. Will not try again.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I gave this 1 star because it did turn out very tender and just fell apart. However, I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong but it had no flavor. Maybe because I used fat free french? I'm not sure but my husband wouldn't eat it and my kids wouldn't touch it. Thanks anyway!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Very good potatoes! I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because they were a little on the runny side when I added the milk and mixed them. It made them pretty creamy. We tend to like ours a little more chunky so next time I will use less milk and not mix as long. Also a hair more salt is needed but otherwise a great recipe!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I give it 5 stars because of how quick and easy this is. I always have chicken on hand and when I haven't planned anything in advance I know I can always rely on this. Plus it tastes great!

Smothered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
We thought these were okay. They were a little bland even with using seasoning salt and pepper. It made a nice gray but it still was bland. The gravy was great over mashed potatoes. Will make again but will need to jazz it up a bit.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Great recipe! This is one that will be my staple chili recipe. The only changes I made was I omitted green pepper and celery and used diced tomatoes in its own juice instead of tomato juice. I cooked it for Halloween last night and got rave reviews! I even had the recipe requested!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Very good recipe! The only change I made was I added 2 packets of Italian dressing and also added fresh sliced onions and a jar or pepperoncinis for an additional kick.

Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I am a huge peanut butter fan and also love bananas so I thought this would be a great way to use up some bananas. The flavor combination did not go well together. I followed several others advice ie: 1 c. peanu butter, 3/4 c. flour, 1 tsp vanilla. Instead of chocolate chips I added peanut butter chips. The end result was not good. I will stick with plain ol' banana bread in the future.

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
Very good! The only thing I did differently was added a tsp. of italian seasoning to the sauce. I should have cooked the ravioli first as other reviewers suggested as it did come out a little runny. I will definitely make again!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
If I could give this 10 stars I would! Awesome marinade. It's hard for me to eat a plain steak after having this marninade. I used filets and it came out so tender and juicy and full of flavor. I will definitely use this again and again! Thanks!

Savory Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
Overall it was ok. Hubby didn't care for it. I think if I make some revisions next time it will turn out better. I did follow other suggestions and browned the meat with the onions first. I used frozen veggies (will use can next time). I also used cream of mushroom and put cheddar cheese on top of the soup mixture and then added the the tater tots. The tater tots turned out great; very crispy. Overall I would say it was still bland even after adding salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
I thought this was very, very good. I only gave it 4 stars because my daughter and hubby thought it was bland and my son and I loved it. I used skinless kielbasa. I did as other reviewers mentioned and sauteed the sausage in worsterchire sauce first. I then removed from skillet, added some fresh minced garlic and sauteed the onions and potatoes for a few minutes then added the green beans (I used canned). After 5 minutes I combined all in the dish, added a packet of Zesty Italian seasoning, covered and baked 45 minutes, removed the foil and baked an additional 15 minutes. Sooo easy and soo good!!
