Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I am a huge peanut butter fan and also love bananas so I thought this would be a great way to use up some bananas. The flavor combination did not go well together. I followed several others advice ie: 1 c. peanu butter, 3/4 c. flour, 1 tsp vanilla. Instead of chocolate chips I added peanut butter chips. The end result was not good. I will stick with plain ol' banana bread in the future.

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
Very good! The only thing I did differently was added a tsp. of italian seasoning to the sauce. I should have cooked the ravioli first as other reviewers suggested as it did come out a little runny. I will definitely make again!

Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I thought that this wasn't bad since I'm usually not a fan of pork. My kids would only eat a few bites and hubby didn't care for it. I did what other reviewers suggested by using 1/4 c. of honey. It did turn out very moist though. May make it again but it will most likely be awhile.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
If I could give this 10 stars I would! Awesome marinade. It's hard for me to eat a plain steak after having this marninade. I used filets and it came out so tender and juicy and full of flavor. I will definitely use this again and again! Thanks!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Very good potatoes! I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because they were a little on the runny side when I added the milk and mixed them. It made them pretty creamy. We tend to like ours a little more chunky so next time I will use less milk and not mix as long. Also a hair more salt is needed but otherwise a great recipe!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
Very good recipe! I made no changes except I used 10 peaches instead of 8. Next time around I will probably add at least 5 more peaches. The topping was delicious, just needed more peaches!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Wonderful recipe! I also added 1 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg to the the sauce mixture, poured most of it over the apples and then the rest on top of the lattice crust. For the crust I just used Pillsbury refrigerated roll out crust. It was delicious! It was even better warmed up. Everyone in my family loved it and there were no leftovers! I will definitely be making this again!

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
I made this directly from the recipe and would say it's just "ok." My husband said not to fix it again for him. The chicken breast was very bland. It definitely needed more than just pepper. I would recommend adding some garlic salt. It was overall pretty bland.

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

Great recipe! I have been looking for a great cut out recipe and will look no more! Everything about this recipe was wonderful. It rolled out easily and even the icing was perfect. Thank you, thank you!

Juicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
Overall a very good recipe! I marinated for 11 hours but was unable to turn them halfway through marinating. They came out juicy in the broiler and had great flavor. I think had I been able to turn them, the flavor would have been spread more evenly over all the chops. The ones that didn't have as much marinade on them were a little more bland. I definitely will be making this again.

Aunt Bev's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
Great recipe! This was my first attempt at an apple pie and it turned out delicious! I used granny smith apples and sliced them somewhat thin. I used the recommended cook time and it came out great! This was a great treat at our Thanskgiving. Thank you!

Savory Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
Overall it was ok. Hubby didn't care for it. I think if I make some revisions next time it will turn out better. I did follow other suggestions and browned the meat with the onions first. I used frozen veggies (will use can next time). I also used cream of mushroom and put cheddar cheese on top of the soup mixture and then added the the tater tots. The tater tots turned out great; very crispy. Overall I would say it was still bland even after adding salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Very Berry Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I didn't care for this at all but gave it 2 stars because my hubby liked it. I thought the mustard was overpowering and I never got the glaze I was hoping for. It was soupy. I've made it twice with the last time leaving the mustard out completely and still got soup and no glaze. I don't plan on making this again.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2005
Very salty and the smell of the garlic was absolutely overwhelming that I couldn't eat it. My husband ate it and said it was not something he would ask to have again. The plus to this recipe is that it was easy to assemble and the meat was very tender; just falling apart.

Slow Cooker Maple Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
I don't know what I could have done different as I followed the recipe to a 'T' but the flavor was terrible. The meat was falling apart which was the only good thing. My husband and two kids who love country style ribs wouldn't touch it.
