Zucchini 'Noodles'

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2015
I like the taste of this dish but it is very easy to overcook the zucchini, and then they are just too mushy. Best works with young zucchinis, where seeds are not well developed yet. Would not recommend it for large size zucchinis - the seeds will all fall of and the texture will not be the same.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2015
It is a good recipe, bread comes out nice and mostly but not saggy. I made it multiple times due to overabundance of zucchinis in my garden. Tried it in different baking forms, also doubled it one time. Worked the best when followed the recipe exactly. Thank you for the recipe!

Grilled Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2015
Did this recipe a few times on the grill - it was a great success. I cooked it for a dinner party for a side dish for grilled chicken and samon, and everybody loved it. After the grilling season was over I decided to try the same recipe in 400 degree the oven. It still came out delisios, just not as browned. I have experemented with different seasonings, different onions (sweet onion is my faviorite version). Butter is very improtant ingreadient for the taste but last time I cut butter to 2 tbs, and added 2 tbs of avacado oil instead, it was still very good, actually, the potatos browned a bit better even in the oven. All and all, great recipe!

Maple Glazed Chicken with Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2015
This recipe is great! I used Honey Aleppo Pepper seasoning, since I didn't have any steake mixes. I doubled it and used not only tenders but also cut chicken breast to the similar size, fried the meat in two batches in a stainless still skillet (Important detail! It helped to have nice browning of meat). I didn't have green onions on hand so I sauteed regular onions in the low hit in the same killet for about 10 min, then added maple syrup, boiled it a bit and added chicken back to the skillet to dress with the souse and warm it up again. The souse came up beautifuly brown and thick, it tasted outstanding. With sweet potatos, I added a tablespoon of brown sugar and two tablespoon of butter. It was great combination of flavours, my whole family loved it. My husband ate all the leftovers before I could hide it in the refregirator! It will be my go-to recipe for an easy, no fail family pleaser. Planning to make it again for a dinner party this weekend! Thank you for the recipe!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
This recipe is great! Easy, fast, and the waffles are just the perfect delicious texture. Thought, I warn you to follow the recipe exactly! I have made this recipe a few times, and it seemed strange to mix flour with eggs before adding milk and other wet ingredients so I decided to mix dried and wet ingredients separately and then mix them together. Well, it didn't work: the waffles came out very starchy and bready, nothing like the first few times when I followed the order of mixing the ingredients in the recipe. So I made it again, following the mixing order from the recipe and yes! the waffles are great and yummy again! Moral of the story: stick to the recipe!

Easter Egg Salad With Beets

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
I made this dish for a party of 30 so I doubled the recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. It was fresh, beautiful color, make sure to add crunchy kind of apples for the texture. The leftovers were even better the next day, so I would chose this salad next time I have a party and make it a day ahead. Great recipe! Thank you for sharing!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2014
I followed the instructions of the recipe exactly and didn't like the result that much. The mix of balsamic, soy sauce, and butter just didn't blend well with the taste of asparagus. If I were to do this recipe again I would skip the soy sauce altogether.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2014
This recipe sounded like a great idea for the party I was planning. I decided to try it out before the party, to make sure it works. Good thing, I did! And twice! First time I followed the recipe exactly but by accident put the oven on 300 degrees, instead of 350 - it came out juicy inside but too pale and soggy outside. Next time, i follow the recipe exactly, and the chicken was beautifully golden but too dry inside. I did not like it. Plus, the taste was so-so... I will not do this again.
