Classic Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
so easy and turned out perfect. I ran the dough cycle in my bread machine, divided them into 12, then put them into an 8 x 10 casserole dish and let them rise again. store bought no more!!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
I really enjoyed this dish! I didn't have any ricotta, so I left it out and I made a few tweaks to the spices just cause I know what my family likes. Funny thing was my hubby said afterwards, "it could use a ricotta layer!" so next time I'll be sure to have ricotta on hand. I will definitely make this again!

Honey Lime Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
these wings were amazing! my husband even said they were better than any wings he'd ever had in a restaurant, and I agree!! only thing I'll do differently next time is add a little more red pepper flakes for more spice. other than that, this recipe is perfect!

Chocolate Chip Mini-Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I just finished making these with my 3 year old son. It was easy enough that he did most of the prep and mixing! These are fun to make and to eat! I followed the recipe exactly and they were perfect.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
I didn't make this myself, but I just ate a piece that my co-worker made and it's fantastic!!! we were both curious about the low baking temp and freezing method.....as unorthodoxed as it seems, it works!! I can't wait to make this myself so my hubby can have a piece.

Caramel Cream Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This cookie is amazing! The only thing I would change next time is to leave out the extra 1/4 cup of flour and I did add a bit of salt to the dough. I thought marblel sized balls would be too small, but they make for a perfect bite sized delight! for the filling I had leftover caramel I made for another recipe so I just used that mixed with icing sugar. I will definitely be making this cookie a new holiday tradition in our house!

Cheese-Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
these are the best! it takes a little time and effort to prep the jalapenos, but it's totally worth it in the end! I only boiled mine for a few minutes to soften them up a little - next time I think I'll leave that step out because they weren't spicy enough! I also added a bit of garlic powder and parsley to the cream cheese mix. I will definitely make these again!!

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This recipe is fantastic! These muffins are more like a banana bread texture which is fine by me. I used quick cooking oats rather than processing regular oats, and they just kind of melted into the muffin. Also, I didn't have sour cream, so I used yogurt instead, and that worked out fine. The only thing I would like to have different would be that they rise more, but I'll sacrifice looks for taste! My four year old gobbled his up!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I always read many reviews before I set out to try a new recipe on allrecipes. I was surprised to see a few 1 star ratings, where most were 5 star! obviously, the reviewers who gave this recipe 1 star did something wrong. brownies are easy to mix together, but you have to be careful baking them. just 1 minute of overbaking will kill that chewy brownie texture we all crave! you should pull out your brownies even though they may look underdone. remember, they will still bake for a few minutes once you take them out of the oven. as for the icing, for those who found it unspreadable, all you need to do is add a very small amount of liquid to icing sugar to turn it into icing. I added about 1 tsp of milk and it was perfectly spreadable. this is a great recipe if you do it right!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I just made this for the second time and with a few extra spices I'm giving it 5 stars! All I did was add a 1/4 tsp of chipotle chile powder and a 1/2 tsp of cumin to the chicken mixture. then I sprinkled some chili powder on top of the cheese - the first time I made is as the recipe is listed, my husband thought it was ok....this time he went back for seconds (that means he really liked it!)!!

Hawaiian Plantation Iced Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
I tweaked this a little and it was great! I brewed the tea in boiling hot water for about 10 mins and added 1/2 cup a sugar to dissolve (instead of the simple syrup). then I added the pineapple juice and enough cold water to get it to the strength I liked. it was yummy and everyone loved that it was pineapple instead of your typical lemon iced tea. I'm going to make this will all my favourite juices. yum!

Merlot-Peppercorn Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
My husband and I loved this sauce. We did it without mushrooms cause he doesn't like them, and it still was delicious. I did increase to 1 cup of wine and only 1 tablespoon of worcestershire - that was just personal taste. Great base recipe that you can do a lot to.

Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
sooooooo much better than whipped topping with 15 different ingredients you can't pronounce!! cream and sugar - it doesn't get any better than that!!! I cooled my bowl and mixer spoons in the fridge for a while before I started whipping. no more store bought whipped topping for us anymore!

Jalapeno Hot Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
this is such a great base recipe for hot sauce!! I didn't think the jalapenos would be hot enough for our taste, so I halved the recipe and used 6 jalapenos, 5 serrano peppers and 1 habanero pepper. I kept the garlic at 3 cloves and added 1 tsp of cumin and 1 tsp mexican oregano. After I blended it all, I left half of the sauce thicker with the pulp, and the other half I pushed through a strainer so it was just like the consistency of tobasco sauce - both ways are fabulous!! next time I'll probably do half and half jalapenos and habaneros cause we like it HOT! thanks so much for sharing this!!!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2011
These cookies are just what I was looking for. Rich and chewy and so chocolatey! I did add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp salt. The dough is quite stiff, so like other reviews said, they didn't spread when baked, but that was fine cause I ended up with giant fluffy mountains of chocolate goodness! You do have to be careful not to burn them though, cause it can happen in just a few seconds. I'll be making these again and again!

Portuguese Muffins - Bolo Levedo

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I used to get these years ago at a little cafe in Burlington, Ontario, where I'm from. I am so glad I found this recipe because now I can have them any time I want. I kneaded the dough in my stand mixer for 10 minutes, then let it rise in a warm oven. I did first pan fry them in butter to get that dark golden brown crust, then I baked them in the oven for 10 minutes just to make sure the center was baked through. omg, beyond delicious!!!!!
