Caramel Cream Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This cookie is amazing! The only thing I would change next time is to leave out the extra 1/4 cup of flour and I did add a bit of salt to the dough. I thought marblel sized balls would be too small, but they make for a perfect bite sized delight! for the filling I had leftover caramel I made for another recipe so I just used that mixed with icing sugar. I will definitely be making this cookie a new holiday tradition in our house!

English Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
These looked like english muffins on the outside, but the inside was just a regular bun texture. An english muffin should have lots of nooks and crannies. This was an ok bun recipe, but by no means is it even close to an english muffin.

Indian Naan II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
I've tried a few recipes for naan and this one is my favorite (next to the real thing made in our favorite Indian restaurant!). The yogurt gives it a nice tang and great texture. I make the dough in my bread machine, then grill it as the recipe says. yum yum!

Classic Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
so easy and turned out perfect. I ran the dough cycle in my bread machine, divided them into 12, then put them into an 8 x 10 casserole dish and let them rise again. store bought no more!!

Portuguese Muffins - Bolo Levedo

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I used to get these years ago at a little cafe in Burlington, Ontario, where I'm from. I am so glad I found this recipe because now I can have them any time I want. I kneaded the dough in my stand mixer for 10 minutes, then let it rise in a warm oven. I did first pan fry them in butter to get that dark golden brown crust, then I baked them in the oven for 10 minutes just to make sure the center was baked through. omg, beyond delicious!!!!!

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This recipe is fantastic! These muffins are more like a banana bread texture which is fine by me. I used quick cooking oats rather than processing regular oats, and they just kind of melted into the muffin. Also, I didn't have sour cream, so I used yogurt instead, and that worked out fine. The only thing I would like to have different would be that they rise more, but I'll sacrifice looks for taste! My four year old gobbled his up!

Rhubarb Lemonade

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
I didn't find that this had much of a rhubarb taste. I think it might be better if you use the pulp. next time I'll try a slush recipe that uses pulp.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
this was just the recipe I was looking for. the amount of sugar is just right - you still get the tartness of the rhubarb coming through. and the flour tightens up the filling just right. easy and delicious!! I just had a piece for breakfast!!

Greek Style Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
these did not turn out the way I was hoping they would. the flavour was lacking and the texture was wrong. I won't be making these again.

Marinated Greek Chicken Kabobs

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2011
These cookies are just what I was looking for. Rich and chewy and so chocolatey! I did add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp salt. The dough is quite stiff, so like other reviews said, they didn't spread when baked, but that was fine cause I ended up with giant fluffy mountains of chocolate goodness! You do have to be careful not to burn them though, cause it can happen in just a few seconds. I'll be making these again and again!

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: May 7, 2011
I halved the recipe and made only 1 loaf. It turned out perfectly for our strawberry shortcake dessert! I may have over mixed it a little - next time I'll mix by hand as others suggested. This was just the buttery, sugary treat we were looking for. Thanks for the recipe!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: May 7, 2011
This is just what I was looking for in a creamy, sweet coleslaw! No reason to buy the bottled dressing. Very easy too! A great recipe.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I always read many reviews before I set out to try a new recipe on allrecipes. I was surprised to see a few 1 star ratings, where most were 5 star! obviously, the reviewers who gave this recipe 1 star did something wrong. brownies are easy to mix together, but you have to be careful baking them. just 1 minute of overbaking will kill that chewy brownie texture we all crave! you should pull out your brownies even though they may look underdone. remember, they will still bake for a few minutes once you take them out of the oven. as for the icing, for those who found it unspreadable, all you need to do is add a very small amount of liquid to icing sugar to turn it into icing. I added about 1 tsp of milk and it was perfectly spreadable. this is a great recipe if you do it right!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
I didn't like this sauce. I think that maybe the type of chili powder you use might make a difference. I upped the other spices and added a touch of cinnamon and oregano, but we still didn't like it.

Peanut Butter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
these muffins are very moist, but there's something lacking in the flavour. I did up the peanut butter and banana, but they were still very bland. I think I might up the sugar next time. I did add some salt as previous reviewers had said, but it didn't add enough. I'll try these again, but with more sugar.

Cakes In A Cone

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
this is a great idea, but the recipe should have very clear instructions to NOT overfill the cones! I overfilled my first batch, and it was a disaster! for my second try, I actually baked the cake in a cake pan, then cut it into pieces to fill the cones. by doing it this way, I was also able to line the inside of each cone with icing. I may try baking in the cones again, but the other way works great too!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I made these last night and they were fantastic! I did season the potato rounds with salt, pepper and some onion powder cause I didn't have fresh green onions. my husband ate almost the entire batch!! a great way to do potatoes a little differently!

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
I finally got around to making these yesterday. My 4 year old helpd - it is a very simple recipe. I did add a bit of vanilla and I halved the nutmeg cause I find the flavour to be too much sometimes. that was definitely enough nutmeg for my liking and I'm glad I halved it! once they came out of the oven, I dipped the tops in melted butter, then tossed them in a baggie with the cinnamon and sugar mix. these are a great little sweet treat that's easy to whip up anytime!!

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
this was the first time I ever made and had fried pickles and they were delish! I think next time I might use pickle spears, but the slices were surprisingly crispy. these are a great finger food for a casual get together.
