Hamburger Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
My kids were not overly impressed with this soup but my husband and I really liked it. My husband put his soup over a biscuit and added shredded cheese and said it was even beter that way!

Gourmet White Pizza with Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
This pizza was very good. The only change I made was to use mozzarella cheese instead of feta as we dont care for feta. It was definitely an "eat with a fork" kind of pizza as it was rather messy but delicious!

Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I made this today for a baby shower and went thru 4 batches of it! Some adjustments though. Used a liter of Sprite, a 64 oz. jug of white grape juice, 2 packets of Berry Blue Kool Aid Mix, and used pineapple sherbet on top instead of ice cream. Everyone LOVED it! I put rubber duckies with swim rings around them on top and it was so cute!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
I also felt these cookies were just missing something. Some level of sweetness just seemed to be missing. I used the white chocolate pudding mix that others suggested. I loved the texture of these cookies and they stayed nice and chewy for days but they just did not have the flavor of other chocolate cookie recipes I have tried.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
Oh my gosh....this recipe was FANTASTIC!!! I cooked this for 8 hours on low in my crock pot then shredded the chicken and put that and more of the sauce on hoagie rolls. Hubby took one bite and nearly fell off his chair!! He ate two sandwiches for dinner and I packed two for his lunch the next day and this is a man who does not normally really like leftovers!! This is a keeper!!!!!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
This was excellent!! The only change I made was to get the Italian style tomatoes already diced to save some time. My husband wanted the leftovers for dinner the next night which is really saying something since my hubby never wants leftovers!!

Quiche (Southern Egg Pie)

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2006
We thought this was very good. Instead of pie crust, I flattened out a tube of crescent rolls in the pie plate. It turned out a little browner than I would have liked but it was still good. I also added chopped tomatoes to the egg mixture. I cooked it on 350 the entire time and it took about 45-50 minutes to cook.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
This was pretty good. I did not have basil so I used rosemary which I thought worked out well. It was a little drier than I was expecting but it was still tasty.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
These were some of the best pork chops I have ever had! I took the advice of other reviewers and halved the ingredients for the breading and still had some left over after breading four decent sized pork chops. The breading stayed on the chops just fine while cooking for me. It was nice and crispy out of the oven!!

Chicken Soup Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
My husband and I really liked this recipe. I took the advice of other reviewers and left out the mayo. I did add about 1/2 cup of milk and also some garlic powder. I served this over biscuits. Will definitely make again!!

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
This recipe was pretty good. I had taken the advice of some other reviews and used one can of cream of mushroom soup (every store in my town seemed to be out of cheddar cheese soup!), one can of cream of celery soup, and one can of french onion soup. This made the recipe WAY too soupy. I also used hashbrowns instead of sliced potatoes. It looked more like a hashbrown soup by the time it was done cooking. I would make this again but I would only use one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of french onion soup next time. The chicken was very good though.

Baked Paprika-Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
My husband & I thought this dish was just "ok". Nothing special. The butter poured over the top made the coating on the underside of the chicken come off. Will probably not make again. Only took about 45 minutes to cook.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
My family & I really liked this recipe. The only changes I made was to substitute italian seasoning for the other seasonings. Also, my lasagna did not take quite as long to bake as the recipe stated but then again I have a super oven!

Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
I thought this was a little better than my husband did. He thought it was just "ok". I omitted the garlic salt and chili powder and used a taco seasoning packet as other reviewers suggested. I also cooked the bottom layers of biscuits for 5 minutes before adding the filling and top layer of biscuits. I waited until the last 5 minutes of cooking time to add the cheese to the top so it would not get crispy. I thought it was pretty good but since hubby did not like it I won't be making again.

Slow Cooker Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2005
This recipe was ok. I did as others had suggested and browned my chops first with some onion. I added the soup mix and about 1/4 c. of water to the pan drippings along with some garlic powder. Put two chops in the crock pot first, added potatoes, placed the other two chops on top and added the soup mix. The chops were VERY tender.

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This is the best fried chicken! I too scaled it down to just feed a couple of people. This is the first fried chicken I have made in which the breading actually stayed on and was nice and crispy! Very good recipe just as is!!
