Four Layer Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
This was my favorite dessert growing up only we never tried it with butterscotch, always chocolate. I really liked it with butterscotch though. I like the homemade crust better with the chocolate but with the butterscotch I like the Pecan Sandies better. I crumbled a whole box and mixed it with one stick of butter. The whole thing tasted very rich and buttery.

Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
Pretty good recipe. I love beef and chicken enchiladas but I was serving taco salad with beef so I decided to try vegetarian enchiladas. I was really skeptical. I don't like mushrooms, olives or corn tortillas but these were pretty good. I did use a package of taco seasoning in the tomato sauce...I don't know where to find Creole seasoning? And I covered the tortillas with the extra sauce since a few reviewers said the enchiladas were too dry.

Cookie Salad I

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
I made this to take to a potluck and I went back to the store and got ingredients to make something else. I tried to serve it to my family but it did not suit our taste at all. I knew it sounded weird but I was fooled by all the praise. This one is not for us.

Better than Sex Cake IV

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
This was okay! It tasted good and we each ate a piece but I personally wouldn't make it again...just not our style. I sent almost the whole cake to work with my husband cause we didn't want the leftovers. Too sweet for me...I guess. I prefer chocolate desserts 99% of the time so maybe that was the problem.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
These are pretty good and I don't usually like fish. I was cooking for a bunch of fish lovers and everyone liked the sauce and cabbage but they suggested using a different kind of fish (Halibut or Mahi-Mahi) and oitting the batter. My husband also said to add mandarin oranges like they do at Cheesecake Factory.

Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
This is kind of gooey and I would probably not make it again...it just doesn't do anything for me. I am only rating it so high because my husband loves it and says it is his new favorite dessert. So...since it is easy and we always have peaches at home I guess I will make it occasionally.

Banana Crumb Muffins

These are so good! My husband requests these for dessert all the time. Moist and full of flavor.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
I will have to agree with a lot of the other posts that these are too dry. I even added mayo to add moisture. They don't have much flavor and I prefer muffins to be more dense and moist.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2005
I have used this recipe for a couple years. I actually found it somewhere else but they are the absolute best cookies. I used to love Mrs. Fields cookies and now I never go there anymore. I just make these instead...they are better than any other cookies I have tried and I get requests for them from everyone I know.

Teriyaki Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
This was so tasty as well as fast and easy. I had never used canned dough before but it was pretty good. I did make homemade teriyaki suace and cut down on the onion per other reviewers advice.

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
What is all the hype? I don't get it! This was super easy and everyone ate it but it was nothing special. We all agreed that we won't make it again at our house...there are just a million other dishes we'd rather eat.

Spicy Shredded Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2004
This was not very tasty to me at all. I added green chiles to spice it up but it still didn't have enough flavor. I will keep looking for a good spicy beef recipe.

Hearty Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2004
I love these sandwiches! I am 7 months pregnant and I have craved meatball subs my whole pregnancy so I order them everywhere I go but these ones beat all the restaurant subs. They are spicy and full of flavor but not too spicy...even my two year old loved them. I did roll the meat into meatballs rather than meatloaf.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2004
No one in my house liked these cookies at all. We each only had one cookie and then no one touched them again. I love soft cookies but these reminded me of the consistancy of playdough. Not tasty at all!

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2004
The filling for these is pretty tasty. I think I will experiment with the spices though because to me parsley and oregano are kind of strange in mexican food. I also used enchilada sauce rather than taco sauce to top these. Overall...these were pretty good. I am sure I will make them again with a few modifications.

Best Chocolate Chippers

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2004
I have a recipe I have used for a long time that is very similar to this only I use one tsp of cream of tartar and only one egg. They are the weirdest cookies ever. You will love them or hate them. Half of the people I have made them for don't care for them at all and the other half are absolutely addicted to these. These are not my favorite cookies but once in awhile I really crave them. They are almost more like a shortbread cookie with chocolate chips and not a traditional chocolate chip cookie at all.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: May 25, 2004
This recipe was just okay. Everyone in my house ate a piece and enjoyed it okay at the time but none of us went back for seconds and the cake just ended up sitting there. Not bad at all just nothing to rave about.

Great Grandad's Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
I love these cookies. They are the closest I have found to the bakery style cookies. They are soft and puffy and wonderful. A lot of the reviewers complained about the flavor but I thought these had more flavor than most sugar cookies. I baked the first batch for 10 min as suggested and they flattened out and turned gooey so I added a couple minutes to the next batch and they were perfect.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
I love this icing. Most sugar cookies have that hard thin powdered sugar icing and it ruins the cookie. This is perfect for big fluffy bakery style sugar cookies.
