No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
This was a nice change of pace during our busy week. I threw in frozen chicken breasts, a sliced onion in the beginning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and some minced garlic. Set on high for 6 hours and added 1 bunch of fresh broccoli during the last 30 minutes of cooking. The broccoli was a very nice complement to this! Served over hot rice; no leftovers and loved by all!

Excellent roast recipe. We added onions, baby carrots, and celery at the beginning. Served the gravy over mashed potatoes. Thumbs-up from everyone!

Italian Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
This was very tasty and extremely easy for a Tuesday night dinner. My only little addition was garlic salt to the chicken breasts. We had this with baked potatoes and steamed broccoli for a pretty healthy family dinner that tasted great!

Ed Zieba's Famous Family Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
These are the most tender pork chops I have ever had! We used barbeque sauce instead of water, which we all thought gave it great flavor. Even my picky seven year had seconds. Served with baked potatoes and green beans.

Pork Chops Over Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
This was a great family meal for us. I used a frozen package of broccoli instead of the peas, and mixed in a half can of cream of broccoli soup. I also seasoned the pork chops with Greek seasoning (our favorite seasoning). Next time, I will try it with chicken, as we thought this was a great recipe on days that you do not want to heat up your house with the oven. Thanks for the post, this will be cooked often in our house!

Anniversary Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2004
This recipe was great! My entire family loved it. I did do a few things different. 1)I used less soy sauce than called for. 2) I only used half the bacon called for - about 7 slices- and chopped the bacon up. 3) I added a half teaspoon minced garlic to the onion bacon mixture 4)I only had one boneless breast and six drumsticks -my cooking time increased to about an hour with the drumsticks - but they were absolutely fabulous! 5) I used a little less parmesan cheese - about 3/4 cup. Overall - my family loved this - and I think that the drumsticks turned out better than the boneless because they did not soak up as much of the salt in this dish.

Mary's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
I make meatloaf once a month for our Sunday dinner. That said, I am always on the lookout for a better meatloaf recipe. This just might be it! I added minced garlic to it, but I add minced garlic to everything. Other than that, I made the recipe as is. Tremendous flavor that had the whole family coming back for seconds. Me and my husband even fought over who could take the leftovers to work today. Excellent!

Taco Bake I

Really good party food! I layered lettuce, tomatoes, diced onions, black olives, and jalepenos on top. Served with tortilla chips, sour cream, and extra salsa on the side. Everyone devoured this in minutes.

Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
This is a really good base recipe for chicken and noodles. My son loved this dish, which is why I am glad that I added broccoli and carrots to it! Used 1 and 1/2 cans of the soup since I did add the veggies, and increased my milk and parmesan cheese to compensate. This was a little bland until I added garlic powder and more salt and pepper. Overall, this dish was really good, and I will be making this quite often!

Excellent recipe! I let the drumsticks soak overnight- and it was delicious! Fixed a boneless breast for my mother - she loved it!!! We will definitely be fixing this one on a regular basis.

Chicken Tortilla Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
This is fantastic! A few things I did different: did not get to use the tortillas in the beginning of recipe, and I used dry cilantro instead of fresh because that is all I had. I put in the crockpot for 8 hours on low and and threw in some cooked rice in the last 30 minutes. I did throw in some lime juice at the end over the soup, about 1 tablespoon. I really think this brightened it up. Even added a little extra on each bowl. Topped with cheese, crushed chips and sour cream. This was hands down the best soup recipe I have made. The flavor was tremendous after cooking for at least 8 hours in the slow cooker. The next day was even better, it reminded me of Qdoba's Mexican Gumbo with the added rice. If I do not use rice the next time, I will make sure I use the corn tortillas in the beginning of the recipe. From reading multiple reviews, the corn tortillas act as a thickening agent. But, the rice was fantastic so that is how I will most likely make this from here out :)

Clemons Family Bean Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2007
I used the pepperjack velveeta and 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb. zesty sausage. Fantastic! According to my husband's friends, this is the best party dip ever! Note: I used a whole jar of jalapenos with the juice, and it was really, really, hot. Good, just really spicy. I am making today without the added juice.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Excellent meatloaf! I left out the MSG and substituted ketchup for the tomato sauce. Served with Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese (on this site) and broccoli. Husband declared it the best meatloaf recipe yet.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
Made exactly as directed and came out perfect. I simmered about an hour and 15 minutes before my family digged in. The seasonings came out perfect, not too strong for the kid and just right for my husband and I. This was not soupy for us. We really liked the consistency it had.

Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This was so easy to make after getting home from work at 5:30 in the evening. I was looking for something different to do with chicken tenderloins, as I buy the kind that come frozen in the bags. My only change was to leave out the Worcesterhire sacue and add balsamic vinegar in its place. I poked holes through the chicken so it could soak up the flavor while baking. This chicken was tender, juicy and full of flavor. Whole family was happy and I made a chicken sandwich with the leftovers for lunch at work. Will definitely make again for a quick and satisfying dinner.

This meatloaf was incredible. My family enjoys meatloaf- and said that recipe was a great change of pace from the ketchup-based meatloaf. We loved this recipe and I'll will probably make this one my staple meatloaf recipe in the house.

Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
This was probably the best lasagna recipe that I have made! I got all the way through the steps - when I realized that I only had half of the needed mozzerella. So I just sprinkled extra parmesan on the very top layer. It was fabulous! I did use a little extra sauce and meat that the others reviewers suggested. Thanks Bob - it was great!
