Quick Cake

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
This is the second time I have made this cake, and it is fantastic. I have it all mixed up, and stuff put away before the oven is even pre heated. My kinda cake- easy and tasty! Moist and flavorful. Love love love it.

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
I enjoyed these, flavor got better with each bite. The texture was a little weird, but not bad. I will make these again, maybe with almond butter, or nutella perhaps.

Eggs Benedict

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
Great instructions, I was afraid of poaching eggs before, but I feel I nailed it the first time. Unfortunately I think the sauce had a tad too much lemon. Next time I will adjust down to 2 Tbs. After making this I looked around and most recipes call for 1-2 Tbs. It didn't ruin the dish, but it wasn't as great as it potentially can be.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
Didnt use a bread machine, and made 4 'sub' rolls. Came out great! Easy and tasty. I love the texture of the bread and the flavor. I made this into French Dip sandwiches. Family loved it. I felt like a star.

Vintage Lemonade

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
I have made this exactly as it is instruced many times, and loved it. Eventually I played around with the number of lemons (4), and amount of sugar (scant 1 cup) to get it to my personal taste. I have found that when lemons are not on sale, I will switch out a few lemons for a few limes and it is just as wonderful.

You dont get easier then this, 5 ingredients! I have made this many times, frozen or fresh fruit-each fantastic. I have no problem with the amount of butter, never greesy.

Yum! Followed the reviews, added more milk, oil and a tad more sugar. Easy to follow, great result. Nice and moist, with a great top. Thanks!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
Mmmmmm... very good. I changed the servings to 12- so it only made one loaf. Did well, took longer to raise, and longer to cook, but very tasty!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
Yewoza! I am picky with corn bread. Too sweet, too dry, too crumbly, etc. I made this (30 min ago) it's still warm outta the oven and I am loving it. I used whole wheat four as the cook said he/she does, and added a hanful of frozen corn, but stayed true to the rest of the recipe. Oh yum yum yum. Easy enough to make with my 1 year old 'helping'too! It did take 40 min in the oven with the whole wheat exactly to the min, and comes perfectly out of the pan! My husband is due home for lunch in half an hour (corn bread and chili) and I am going to have a hard time not eating all the corn bread until then! Thank you so so much!

Cauliflower and Tofu Masala

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
This wasn't a BAD dish, but I expected more flavor. With all the cumin, corriander, ginger, and marsala I was dissapointed with the blandness. I did enjoy the texture of the tufo, baking it prior t adding it I believe is a great idea. Also, it was kinda ugly, with the tofu and cauliflower being white the sauce turns everything kinda reddish brown.

Cuban Pork

5 Stars for flavor, and how easy it was! Such a small amount of ingredients that most people usually have on hand. If not cheap enough to buy. I paired it with a black bean and corn salad from this site. Fantiastic.

Wonderful recipe, easy and very tasty. I didnt use all the flour, started with 3 cups and added about 1/2 cup more. Also a great tip is the ones you dont eat right away are fantastic cut in half and toasted with butter, like a bagel. Yum Yum!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2012
I made this tonight for a dinner party. It was very wasy to make, but only chicken and sauce. Next time I will add some chick peas and mushroom to make it a little heartier. I also agree with not needed all the sugar.
