Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I cut the sugar in half and omitted the topping and they were still extremely sweet. The muffins are beautiful and delicious, but I knocked a star off for WAY too much sugar.

Navratan Korma

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I love this! I used curry paste instead of the spices, and I used a can of coconut milk in place of the milk/cream.

I make these at least once a week! They are perfect. I have used butter, margarine and shortening and they all turn out great.

Mocha Tiramisu by EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This was too sweet for us, and I had a hard time spreading out the chocolate layer.

Fantastic Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This did not turn out for me at all! I have been really into making yeast breads, rolls and focaccia lately and this was very dry and thin. There is another focaccia recipe on this site that is awesome (I can't figure out which one it was that I used!), but this one isn't it. It was like eating a focaccia flavored cracker.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is my go-to pizza crust recipe. I make it once a week. I don't change a thing. The kids love rolling out their own mini pizzas and sometimes we top them with sliced apples and cinnamon sugar for dessert pizzas. It's perfect and so versatile!

Apple Raisin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
If I could give this 10 stars I would! I made it twice in one day and gave it as gifts. My friends raved and raved about it, and my kids want me to make it again and again. The only change I made was to use dried cranberries instead of raisins.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is good, but it dries out fast and does seem a little denser than I'd like. It is very tasty and not terribly hard.

Monster Cookies VI

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
These are great! I used half the sugar (I think they'd be way too sweet with all the sugar), and I replaced one cup of oats with one cup of AP flour. I also used Peanut Butter M&Ms and used a lot of them! (we like our peanut butter!) They stayed soft for 3 whole days, and I couldn't tell you how they fared after that because they are gone!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This is wonderful! I halved the sugar and upped the spices (added ginger, nutmeg, cloves). I used whole wheat flour, added a bit of lemon juice and some blackstrap molasses. It is SO good, we've already almost eaten all of it.

Banana Crumb Muffins

I made a some changes, but they were awesome. I used oil instead of butter, and added cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla... I left off the crumb topping and they were perfect!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2005
this is light and refreshing and delicious! I used a slight variation on the veggies, cucumber, green onion and red pepper... otherwise I did the recipe exact. I think it needs some freshly ground black pepper. That would make it a 5 star in my book.

Gluten-Free Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
Yes! This is a wonderful GF cake! I took another reviewers suggestion and added cocoa (I added about a half cup) and upped the sugar to 1 1/2 cups... It was SO good. I baked it in a 9x13 and frosted it and my celaic husband ate half the cake! I didn't think it was grainy at all and I will definitely be making it for every occasion! Thanks!

Raw Brownies

I love these! What a healthy treat. They are also kid approved! I added peanut butter as other reviewers suggested, and used pure maple syrup in place of honey. Thanks!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This is so good you could use it as a mousse instead of frosting. I layered pieces of lemon cake, this frosting and strawberries. It was unbelievable. I would give it more stars if I could!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2005
This is really yummy. I only used one can of beans, I think 2 would have been too much. I added addtional seasoning... some garlic powder, chili powder and more cumin. I think it was a little bland without it. Very healthy and tasty. I definitely recommend it!

Green Velvet Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
I thought this was great until the step when you add the broccoli, zucchini and spinach, and then I didn't really like the taste anymore. Everyone said it was good, but I kind of think they were just being polite. I guess I will make it again, but just as a split pea and potato soup. I sauteed the onion and added some garlic at the beginning. I think that helps a lot.

Reese's® Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
I was skeptical of these for some reason, but they were delicious! And oh, so easy! They look like they took a lot of work, but they do not. I didn't have any chips so I made chocolate frosting and drizzled it on the top. I will definitely make them again.

Italian Portobello Sandwiches

Awesome! I used basil pesto in place of the basil mayo because I needed to use it up and it was great! I am making them again tonight. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
