Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread
I don't have anything new to add to the previous reviews; like everyone else I just want to say how much I love this cornbread! Sweet, moist, soft, and perfect, unlike all the other so-called "sweet" cornbread recipes I've tried. I love that it stays moist without oil, too.

Pecan Pie V
I was so excited to find this recipe! I stopped buying corn syrup years ago, but I didn't want to give up pecan pie at the holidays. I made several pies with maple syrup, and they tasted delicious but the filling was always too runny, seeping under the crust and making a terrible (though yummy) mess. I found the texture and flavor of this syrup-less pie to be perfect. Everyone loved it, and no one would have guessed it was made without corn syrup. It also keeps very well in the fridge, if there's any left.

Pumpkin Custard Pie
This recipe made a very smooth, creamy custard filling for my holiday pie. The spices weren't quite strong enough for me but that was easy to fix; I tasted the filling before adding the eggs and increased the spices, adding nutmeg and cloves, until the flavor was perfect. I liked the advice about chilling the crust, which kept the crust from burning while the filling set, and drying the pumpkin over heat kept the filling from being too wet. The final result got high praise from some VERY picky pumpkin pie eaters! This will definitely be my only pumpkin pie recipe from now on.
