My favorite family cooking traditions
Making homemade ice cream every fourth of July. Trying to recreate my Grandma's rolls, using the same recipe she did, except nobody yet has gotten them right.
My cooking triumphs
Baking. I can bake anything and always turns out delicious.
My cooking tragedies
Making creamy spaghetti sauce. My husband can make it good enough for a five star restaurant, but when I try to do the same it just doesn't turn out. I am no longer allowed to make spaghetti. Coffee as well. I know it's just water and coffee beans but very few times have I ever made it good enough to tolerate. I don't know why.

Blueberry Pie

Soft Christmas Cookies
We have traditionally used the same recipe for years, when I found this one because I didn't have the original well lets just say we no longer use the old recipe. Sorry Grandma...

Red Velvet Cake
Great recipe! I omit the red dye to make it a plain chocolate cake. I know it kind of defeats the purpose, since it's RED velvet cake, but my husband loves this cake and is allergic to red dye. Now he can enjoy as much as he likes!
