BBQ Chicken Pizza II

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
BBQ chicken pizza is great. I would add that it's even better if you saute your onion & peppers ahead of time to get that carmelized taste. I make a version of this recipe with store bought whole BBQ chicken and also I put my chicken in BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Rays is great ) and warm as this permeats chicken with sauce, even better.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Good sauce, I used worstershire instead of steak sauce. However, it flared up my grill since it was so drippy. I'd think better under broiler than gas grill.

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
Excellent weeknite dinner for a working woman. My hubby loves pork chops and this was a good mix it up to breaded & baked chops. I followed other's advice, browned chops w/ garlic, cooked for 15 minutes for fairly thick boneless chops

Irish Bacon And Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
This was excellent. I used regular thick bacon and cabbage, and fire roasted diced tomatoes. I added 2 tsp of Splenda and fried a chopped onion with the bacon which also added that great carmelized taste. I also used 2 cups chicken broth.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
My husband loved this dish. Definitely a man's kind of casserole. I found it too salty. Added wine in addition to milk and made the stuffing a bit softer with butter and milk. Used chicken and musroom soup

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
I bought a package of greens because they are a great anti-inflammatory food. This recipe was great! I didn't use the chili flakes, but still there was enough flavor to supply a tasty, healthful vegetable

Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
Gives the beef a really good flavor. People who found the sauce too thin probably did not cook it on high enough heat. Cooked on medium to medium high with lid off reduces the sauce to thick and flavorful

Use of creamed corn a nice touch to traditional dish. I also used left over mashed potatoes and served it with canned beef gravy, which snazzes it up a bit.

Chili I

I've been looking for a good chili recipe for years. Since I don't like it hot, I omitted the chili peppers and used the canned tomatoes with chili peppers and it was just perfect

This was outstanding. I increased the parmesan cheese Italian cheese mixture amount and also scattered it over the top with the drizzled olive oil.

Terrific. I cut everything in half and it came out excellent, spicy good, don't even need butter for the corn, potatoes, shrimp, so it's a great calorie saver.

I used a tablespoon of minced garlic and little more butter. I also used the sea scallops instead of bay scallops. It was still delicious and oh so easy.

I have made a version of this recipe for years and it's a family favorite. My version cooks the chicken breasts with butter. Also it can be made with chicken tenders and cooked in the microwave for a real quick dinner for working people.

Vegetable Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2004
I modified this recipe for Atkins by adding more water, replacing the carrots with green pepper, eliminating the flour and putting in a half a cup of cream instead of milk. Came out thinner without the flour, but still was very tasty
