Carla's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
This was a good, easy recipe, but I don't know if I'd make it again. I used 8oz of cream cheese, because I knew 3 wouldn't be enough for me. Still, was just good, not great.

Apple Hermits

These were good, but nothing spectacular. The glaze is a must. Otherwise, they're lacking something. The dough alone I would give 5 stars. I wish I would've just eaten that without baking them at all!!

Hummus Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I was reluctant to try this considering I had never even had hummus before. I am SO glad I did!! I used roasted red pepper hummus, broccoli, yellow bell pepper, quarted grape tomatoes, and probably about 3 cups of cheese. This recipe was awesome!! I will def be making this from now on. And it's so easy!!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
There's not much more I can add that hasn't already been said. The only thing was... I had to practically double the crust. I don't see how you could possiblyhave enough using the amounts as written.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
I tried this hoping to change my opinion on fish. It was good as far as fish goes. The topping was awesome. I took the advice of adding bread crumbs. If you're a fan of fish, this is the recipe to try!!

Peach Brulee

There was something about this that I just didn't care for. Maybe the canned peaches? I doubt I ever make this again.

Guacamole

This is a great recipe, although I did make a few modifications based on personal taster. Not the best I've had, but definately right up there.

This is a very simple, yet very good recipe. There are endless variations of this. I use this whenever I can't think of what to have for dinner, because it's so quick and easy.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
This was good although I didn't think the flavor was all that strong. I think if I make it again I will use less whipped topping.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
This is a great chili recipe. I skipped the tomato juice and used diced tomatoes. It made a lot, but I could eat it for days!! This has become my regular chili recipe!!

Five Cup Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This was just okay. It had been a while since I've had this, so I didn't remember the exact ingredients. After making it I remembered that my mom always used crushed pineapple and no fruit cocktail. I didn't care for this near as much as the way I'm used to having it made. Also, I cut back on the sour cream and added a little sugar, because I could taste a strong sour cream flavor.

Easy Hawaiian Chicken Packets

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
These are delicious!! The only changes I made was that I used breast strips, a sweet onion and I also marinated the chicken for an hour in the teriyaki sauce. I was having a friend over for dinner so I cut up the veggies and stored them in the fridge along with the marinating chicken so that when we were ready to eat all I had to do was throw them together. So easy, so good, and yet good for you. This will definitely be a regular of mine.

A Potato Salad Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
This was pretty good, and a nice alternative at barbeques. It's easy to throw together on those nights I really don't want to cook! I skipped out on the mayo and used mustard instead. A little pepper was good, too.

Shake-n Go Snack Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
I made a few minor adjustments, but overall this is really good snack mix. I used multi-grained Chex, mini Teddy Grahams,Planters Sweet and Crunchy Peanuts, and white chocolate M&Ms. I think there was way too much Chex, so I would either cut back to 4 cups or add more of the other ingredients. It's a perfect snack for my 2 year old!!

Tastes good and extremely easy... what else could you want? My kids loved these, and it's easy to experiment with. We've also used PB and marshmallow creme.

Baked Bean Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
I thought I would really like this. It sounded a little strange, yet good. None of us were impressed with this. My 7 year old said it was slimy, but it was okay enough to eat. My 2 year old who eats everything only took one bite. It was edible, but not good. I won't be keeping this one around. Sorry.
