Candied Carrots

I thought they were pretty good. Not a whole lot of flavor, but better then regular carrots. For some reason my 2 year old who loves carrots would not touch them.

Hot Dog a la Potato

I loved this recipe when I was younger. The only difference was my mom wrapped the hot dog in bacon. Sooooo good!!!

This has been a family favorite for years. This was the first time I attemted to make it though. You have to add at least 2 Tb of butter or else it is dry. I also added A1 to the hamburger to give it a little more flavor. All in all this has always been one of my favorites!

Chicken Enchiladas I

I really liked this and it was really simple, but it was missing something. I don't know what, but I wish I could put my finger on it. I will definitely be making it again so I'll add different things until I get it to my liking!!

Pumpkin Bread I

This was the best pumpkin bread I have ever had, and I love pumpkin bread!! The fact that it was lower in fat madeit that much better. I made it in one loaf pan and one 9x9 pan since I didn't have 3 loaf pans. It turned out great!!!

Cool Off Smoothie

I loved it and so did my kids. I used Vanilla yogurt, because it was all that I had. I hate yogurt so I was a little skeptical, but it was great!!

Strawberry Trifle

I made this as our Easter dessert, and it was perfect!! Next time I'm going to try white chocolate pudding instead. I also used fresh strawberries, because here in So Cal they are delicious year round. It's so simple yet so good!!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

It was very good, although the crust had an overpowering cocoa taste. I had to add a little more butter to give the crust a good texture. I would make again with a few minor adjustments.

California Sherry Chicken

I absolutely loved this chicken!! My 6 year old son wanted the leftovers the next day instead of pizza!! The carrots definitely need longer simmer time than the squash. My carrots were still a liitle hard and the squash was beyond mushy. But it was still delicious!! It will be one of my regulars...thanks!!

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

I should've read previous suggestions about extra ingredients. It was very bland, and my son wouldn't touch it. It definitely needed an extra something. I ate it just because I made it, and it was there. Will not be making again. I got my hopes up thinking it was going to be similar to the Army recipe my mom used to make with creamed chipped beef....not even close!!

Scalloped Corn

I agree with LRGAYLES. It was good, but the texture just wasn't what I had expected. My mom makes this for every holiday, and I wanted to make it for my family since we couldn't go home. Not as good as my mom's. I guess I'll have to ask for her recipe. My son loved it though!!

Caramel Flan

I must not have done this right, but it was not good. I followed the recipe exactly, but the caramel was really runny and liquidy. It never set, and I baked for about 90 minutes! The taste wasn't too bad, a little too eggy for me. The texture was terrible, though! Will not make again!

They turned out beautiful! I gad a gard time keeing them on the toothpicks though. I had very large strawberries, so I made a tripod out of toothpicks. They were very good, and I will make them again,

Valerie's Fruit Dip

I have never tasted anything so good!My family loved it. When I made the dip I didn't even have any fruit. We ate all of it befor I had the chance to buy any! We ate in on graham crackers mainly. They were a good snack for my son. I thought it was so good, I even caought myself eating it with a spoon! I definitely will make this recipe again. The only substitute I made was lowfat milk for the whole milk, way too much fat for me!
