About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
New things that my family loves. I find cooking for others very rewarding. I love to make people smile.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Banana Pudding, Chicken Wings, Chili, Steak, BB Ribs
My cooking triumphs
Lobster bisque soup...very intense! Who doesn't like to set things on fire. I love recipes that call for burning off the alcohol. When it was all said and done, the kitchen was a disaster, but the bisque was phenomenal.
My cooking tragedies
One time I wanted to make the best pancakes ever and found a recipe that would make super fluffy ones...it called for lemon juice and baking soda. Can you say 7th grade volcano science experiment! I still laugh about that one...what was I thinking, oh I guess I wasn't. Hey, I'm pretty good at that too.

Quick and Easy Hollandaise Sauce in the Microwave
Awesome...I took the advice to add Mayo and the consistency was perfect. If you feel you will need to add more lemon juice or Cayenne, wait to test taste the original recipe after its been heated...the flavors are enhanced...then add more to your liking if necessary. Enjoy!

Simple Pasta Salad
I've made it twice now. Everyone absolutely loves it. It really is so super simple and I think that's what makes it so good. You're not bombarded with too many conflicting ingredients and your able to enjoy just enough variety to compliment any main course. It's very healthy too. I cut up some grilled chicken and threw on top for some protein...a perfect lunch the next day.
