Scrumptious Frosted Fudgy Brownies

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I am an experience baker and bake daily. These were dry and just plain uneatable. One bite and I regretted wasting my calories on it.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
These are EXCELLENT sugar cookies! Taste just like bakery cookies. Even better the next day. The only change I would suggest is baking a bit less than the recipe states...I'd like mine a bit more soft. Sooooo good though!

S'mores

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
WAY TOO MUCH BUTTER!! It was a greasy mess! I felt like I could just feel the greasy going down my throat, eeww! And no sugar needed in the crust, the chocolate and marshmallows make them sweet enough. I will make them again, but with 1/2 cup butter and no sugar.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
These were just ok....2.5 stars I would say. I am daily baker and cookies are my specialty. These were bland and really nothing special about them at all. Definitely wouldn't make again. My family wondered why I made such blah cookies yesterday. They are just missing something...can't put my finger on it though.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
These are INSANELY good!!! I could eat the entire pan! They taste just like toffee so I'm not sure what another reviewer was saying that they didn't. The only thing I changed about this recipe was using pecans instead of walnuts (I simply didn't have any) and it was FABULOUS!!! If you have your heat too high then the butter sugar mixture will turn into a ball...otherwise will be fine. I boiled mine over a minute and it was great. I don't think it needs anymore chocolate...really, really great bar!! Thank you!

Best Chocolate Chippers

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
These cookies are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!! I loved them as did my children! :) Perfectly crispy edges, wonderfully buttery and chewy center. I would add about 1/2 cup more chocolate chips next time, but so good!! The dough could stand on its own :) Thank you!!

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was a good base recipe and it would have been much better but it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO overly sweet! And I have the biggest sweet tooth ever, so for me to say that really says something. I would cut the white sugar completely. Also, I would NOT put sugar on the top....sprinkle it with cinnamon is fine. They are more like cake than bars. I think I would make a rum sauce to drizzle over these and they would be fabulous! Overall, TOO MUCH SUGAR!

Butterscotch Oatmeal

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
This is an amazing oatmeal!!! I would have never thought of making it like a pudding with egg and milk...it is the creamiest oatmeal ever!!! I used skim milk, but imagine using whole milk, MMMMMMMM!! I only used 1/4 cup brown sugar and it was still wonderful!! Thank you!!

S'mores Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
These didn't really remind me of S'mores...more like Rocky Road with the peanuts. That being said, I really liked the peanuts. I wish I could give this 3.5 stars....because they were good...but definitely not "GREAT", kwim? I can't even taste the graham crackers at all...kind of a waste of 8 crackers in my opinion. I think they need something more. Thanks for the recipe, I love trying new ones...I probably won't make these again though.

Banana Pudding Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
You know, this recipe wasn't bad. It definitely has a fake banana taste...but I think with a different flavored pudding it would be fantastic! The cookie itself is nummy...great texture. I would try white chocolate, french vanilla or coconut cream pudding. Also, I used 1/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup shortening and frosted per other reviewers with Sugar Cookie Icing. I will definitely be experimenting with other flavors...oohhh maybe a butterscotch pudding! mmm!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
These are really nummy!! I used french vanilla cake mix with only 1/2 tub chocolate frosting. I coated them with semi sweet chocolate. They are VERY sweet, but taste like a choco covered donut hole, mmm!! I made the cake, let it cool for 30 mins, mixed it with the frosting with my Kitchen Aid...I rolled into balls using a cookie scoop and then froze for 1 hr. Then I melted semi sweet choco (1 lb!!!) with 2.3 tsps shortening. Next time I make them I would add some cherry juice or some extract to the cake mix. Also, I would like to find something to dip them into that is not so sweet. Thanks so much!! Great recipe!!

The Easiest Chocolate Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
This is really good!! Not gooey, just moist and delicious. I topped with Cool Whip, but a nummy frosting would be better I think. I will make this again. THANKS!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
Waaaayyyy too much work for the outcome!! I am a very experienced cookie maker, in fact...very well known for my cookies. These were not fun to make. Chocolatey outside, but dry. I ended up with a lot of the inside left, too. I would NEVER make these again..totally not worth all the work. Tastes fine, but not five stars at all even if they were easy to make.

Peanut Butter Heaven

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
These are sinful!!! So delicious, so addictive! I made them exactly as the recipe stated and they were a bit too sweet for me, so I changed it the second time around....less sugar (1/2 c brown sugar, 1/4 cup white), less butter (3/4 c) and less choco chips (1 cup) with less pb (1/3 c). They were out of this world good!! I did bake them for 30 mins instead of 20. SENSATIONAL!!! Thanks!

Pastry Cream

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
AWESOME!!! Really, really good! Ok, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, cut the sugar amount in this recipe. It is NOT sweet enough without all the sugar. It's best with the called amount, I've tried both ways, trust me. I didn't need to strain mine, no lumps. I beat the egg/yolks well with the corn starch and constantly mixed the egg and milk mixture while heating..lump free. Great recipe!!!
