Layered Shrimp Dip

This was super easy and really tasty! I used a frozen (thawed) shrimp ring instead of canned baby shrimp and it was delicious! Almost can't stop eating it. Everyone loved it.

Brown Sugar Spiced Shortbread

These are pretty good! I added some nutmeg, a splash of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Nice flavor. It could have been a wee bit sweeter perhaps? One of those feelings that something is missing. Not sure, but they are pretty good the way they are.

Simple and delicious! I halved the salt as per other comments on there and they turned out perfectly. I managed to have two before my husband devoured the rest in two days! Will double the batch next time ;)

Becky's Chicken Salad

My husband really didn't like this recipe at all...I like it well enough...and my mother in law thought it was great. It definitely missed some zest in there somewhere. I added a 1/4 of sour cream to try to liven it up a bit, which did help, but very little. I recommend maybe 1/2 c of sour cream or maybe some mustard because this definitely needs a zip. Otherwise, good base, just needs some work.

Oatmeal Pancake

I really enjoyed this change of pace. I thought it tasted good and was hearty to last me for a while. Instead of 4 egg white, I used 3 whole eggs and skipped the nutmeg. I also added a bit of 1% milk to make it more of a crepe type of recipe.

Simple Baked Beans

I was really excited to try this recipe after the rave reviews from everyone. I followed the recipe exactly. Smelled great in the oven, but tasted like plain ol' canned beans with a hint of sweeteness to it. Very disappointed with this recipe and will not make again.
