Chicken and Peppers with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly and found it to be very easy and very tasty. We enjoyed it for dinner over rice. It has a mild flavor, not overbearing at all. When browning the chicken I used plenty of S & P and I definately think this helped with the flavor. Also very good the next day as my son ate this for lunch. Its a keeper!

Haroset for Passover

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
I love Haroset, this is my first time actually making it for myself. Easy to prepare. Came out perfect! As others suggested I only used honey, increased it to 4tsp, instead of sugar. Will definately make this again!!!

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
I must say this was delicious. I also followed the time and temp. as directed and added a small amount of water as recommended by others. The result was perfectly tender Roast Beef. The only adjustment I made was to allow the meat to sit out on the counter to become closer to room temp. for even cooking. Also, I inserted sliced garlic into the roast in various places and that just added to the great flavor! Definately a keeper. Thanks!

Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
This recipe was easy to prepare and very tasty. Followed it exactly and had plenty of sauce for serving over rice. My husband and son enjoyed very much and asked for seconds! This will definately replace my old pepper steak recipe. Thanks!

Hearty Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
This dish was very easy to prepare and very tasty. I do not own a crock pot so I made it on the stove. I added dry ingredients to the beef cubes and browned them first. Then added the other ingredients and cooked for two hours stirring frequently. My family enjoyed very much.

London Broil I

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Already having all the ingredients in the kitchen I couldn't resist trying this recipe. Boy am I glad I did! My family loved the flavor! I tend to cook on the bland side but this recipe sure had the zing my husband and sons were looking for. I did marinate, using a ziplock bag, for 6 hours in the fridge and boiled the left over marinade(as suggested by others) to use as a gravy. That was probably the best part for my guys!! Delish! This is definately a keeper!!!!

Chicken Stir-Fry

This was simply delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and would do it the same next time. The flavor is mild, but very much to our liking as we all had seconds. I'll definately be making this dish again!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
These were very tasty with just olive oil drizzled on them and kosher salt as another reviewer suggested. The cooking time was just right at 400 degrees for the first 20 mins and 425 for an additional 15. Keep an eye on them as they can burn very quickly. My son loved them and so did I.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
I too was worried that tonights dinner would be a disaster however was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this turned out! I cooked it as recommended by PJL4965 ( preheat oven to 500 - then cook at 475 degrees for 20 mins, 7 mins per lb thereafter, and then let it sit for 20 mins on the counter.) The roast came out perfectly, medium rare, and was enjoyed by everyone! This is definately a keeper and will be highly recommended !

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
I made this recipe exactly as called for and must say that I was disappointed. Very bland flavor, minimal amount of sauce. My son barely ate his portions worth and he is normally quite the meat eater! Not this time though! I will not be making this again as there are too many other excellent recipes that I'd rather try.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
This was my first attempt at a vegetable soup and it was delicious! As suggested I sauteed chopped garlic and chopped onions first and then added the chicken broth to the pot. I also used 3/4 cup of barley and it was the perfect amount, not too thick at all. I eliminated the curry because I didn't have any, and replaced the zucchini with corn and added sliced mushrooms near the end of cooking. It really was very simple and very tasty. My husband and sister both enjoyed this very much and can't wait for me to make it again!

Veneto Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2006
This was a hit with my family and our dinner guests. The flavor is mild yet delicious. I followed the recipe as is and found plenty of liquid given off from the chicken itself. Will definately make this dish again!
