My favorite things to cook
Dessert used to be my favorite thing to cook, but now I would rather find an excellent entree recipe more than anything. Second to that, I enjoy making appetizers. Whatever it is, I really want people to think it is superb. Why put all that time and effort into cooking just to settle for being mediocre, right?
My favorite family cooking traditions
Brunch on Christmas day
My cooking triumphs
I mastered cheesecake, and love trying to make all different kinds. Thanks to Paula Deen, my Brie en Croute is a stunning and impressive recipe. People would never guess how easy it is to make.
My cooking tragedies
I wasted 2-3 lb. of ribeye steak when I drenched it in red cooking wine and made it into a casserole. DISGUSTING! I have to blame the recipe, though, because I followed it exactly.

Puff Pastry
Okay for small projects like palmiers, but not so good for larger projects like Brie En Croute.

Chipotle Macaroni and Cheese
I made this for a big family Christmas. I added a bit more chipotle peppers since I knew I wouldn't be using the rest of the can before it spoiled. It was AWESOME! So many compliments! This is an adult-oriented mac & cheese.

Crab Quiche
I used real crab. Very good. Not so great reheated, but excellent when served right out of the oven!
