Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
Sauce had a little too much maple sweetness to it (used the real thing); nevertheless, the recipe for the salmon is very moist and easy to follow; used 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger and didn't use garlic. Thank you.

English Muffin Bread

Good recipe even though I am still tweaking with it (by adding more baking powder)since. it also didn't rise as much in the pan. Toasts wonderfully and with homemade raspberry jam... divine. Thank you for the recipe.

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
Followed Working Mom Gourmet and others suggestions about adding worceshire sauce and using celery soup to the roast; added potatoes and veggies. Perfect dinner for a long day and a cold fall evening in Virginia. Would make again! Thank you!

Caramel Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
Followed JA3MARSH suggestion of changing one cup of white sugar and one cup of brown sugar (instead of 2 cups of white) and used 3/4 applesauce and 3/4 oil and the end result was wonderful! Made in a bundt pan and it took about an hour and 20 minutes to cook through. The house smelled great. Thank you.!

Very good for breakfast; they are wonderful for a quick out the door breakfast. I have also used blackberries and strawberies with great success. Thank you so much!

Hatteras Style Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
Not bad, but the broth needs thickening in my opinion. I used less water; rendered the bacon and put the browned bacon side and saved 1 tablespoon of the shortening to saute the onions, carrots and potatoes; then I added the 2 cans of canned clams (I know, not the same as the real deal), a bottle of the clam juice and 5 cups of h20. Simmered for 40 minutes; then added the cooked bacon as a garnish. Very yummy. Also made fresh french bread from this site.

Wonderful recipe! I made it for dinner with thoughts of sharing, but I am glad that my DH had other things to eat! Thank you for sharing.
