Layered Shrimp Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
I've made this before but added a layer of finely chopped tomato, green onion and finely shredded mozerella cheese on the top layer...I left the olives off altogether. The canned baby shrimp (rinsed) worked great!

Layered Seafood Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
I've made this numerous times and it's always a hit. I used the imitation crab sticks and shred them and use the canned baby shrimp. I've also made it with just cream cheese as the bottom layer (minus the mayo/sour cream)

Pickle Rollups

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
I make these with dried beef (the kind in the jars) and they tasted really good. I found the cream cheese also spreads easier on dried beef than other meats.

Yummy Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
I've always liked this basic (back of every dry vegetable soup mix package) recipe. I just couldn't bring myself to add the mustard. I encourage people to try it without the mustard first. I serve mine in a hollowed-out bread bowl and use the bread for dipping.

Very tasty. I used the large sized dried beef in a jar..it was great tasting and perfectly sized for the pickles.

Cocktail Wieners I

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2004
Instead of cranberry sauce, try adding grape jelly...about 4 to 5 tablespoons, or to suit taste. Much better!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2004
These were a huge hit at work! I was asked for the recipe numerous times. If you like Reeses Peanut Butter cups, you'll love these. I used 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips and 1/2 cup semi-sweet.

Scim's Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2004
Super easy and very good. I added a bit of garlic powder for a little added kick of flavor. I also ended up added a bit of corn starch to thicken the sauce quicker. I'd make this again and again.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2004
Wonderful recipe! I'm surrounding by chocolate lovers, so I used instant chocolate pudding and they turned out just as wonderful! Also, left out the nuts and they were still great. Thanks finally for an acutal "soft" cookie!!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2004
Spinach dip has been a long time family favorite at our house. Not everyone here likes water chesnuts though so I leave them out. The dip tastes just as great! Also, we used regular chopped yellow onions...just as good! Another hint, you don't just want to drain the spinach, it works best if you actually "squeeze" the excess water out of it as well.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2004
I love no bake cookies and these are no exception. They were super easy to make and mine "set" very well after about an hour. I did however, decrease the sugar about about 1/4 cup and I used cream peanut butter instead of chunky..they still turned out great! This recipe is a keeper.

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2004
As a spaghetti lover, this recipe was a fun new twist to the same old spaghetti and meat sauce. I used about 1/2 to 3/4 cup more spaghetti sauce the second time I made this recipe because I found it a little dry only using 1 cup. Makes great leftovers, reheats well.
