Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Wonderful! I am scared of frying, it always turns out burnt and smells up the house! I followed other reviewers suggestions and let the meat come to room temp before coating, and really watched the temp of the oil. I was amazed that it actually turned out! My whole family loved it. My 7 yr old son who is not a great meat eater actually ate the meat before the mashed potatoes!!

Famous Peanut Caramel Candy Bars

After reading the other reviews, I made the following change. For the caramel layer I melted them in the microwave with about 3 Tablespoons of milk. this made the mixture easier to spread and cut. they were great!

Apple Cheese Pizza

mixed the cream cheese with some 1 teaspoon cinamon, 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Carmelized the apples in 2 Tablespoons butter and 1 T. brown sugar, Dash cinamon. Great!

Cream Puff Dessert

This is my husband's fave! I add a little vanilla and sugar to the choux before adding the flour. I got this same recipe from somewhere else, but have never tried to freeze it. I had better not, or I'll be making it every weekend, right? Leftovers are NOT good, so make sure it is gone. Wonderful, refreshing dessert.

Baked Potato Soup I

I have been making this recipe for about a year, it is phenomenal! It is TRUE comfort food. My husband says "soup is not a meal" with any other soup, not this one! Everyone loves it. Thanks for the great recipe. The only change I do is use raw potatoes, peel and cube them, and boil for 10 minutes.

Butternut Squash Casserole

this is an excellent recipe! I used rice krispies, pecans, brown sugar and butter for the topping, and it was wonderful. I also made it in an 8 in pan.
