Hearty Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Half a cup of mayo seemed like a lot, so I used 1/3 cup and increased the sour cream to 1/2 cup, but in the end the greasy feel of the mayo really spoils this recipe. I might try it again with no mayo at all, but it was a disappointment as-is.

Buffalo Chicken Wings II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
Easy version of buffalo wings. I was looking for a version that did not involve deep frying the wings, and this was a good adaptation. The final product was excellent. My only qualm is that it took much longer than 40-45 minutes to cook the wings at 350 to the point where they were well-browned and the skin was crispy. Next time I will bake them in a 400-degree oven.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
As good as any cobbler I have ever tried. The biscuit crust was nice and tender. I threw in about half a pint of blueberries for the heck of it and it worked well.

Gazpacho I

Very good. Benefitted from a good jolt of Tabasco to spice it up.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2004
With all the dried herbs and onion/garlic powders, this dressing tastes very much like "Good Seasons" powedered salad dressing. It improved upon sitting, but still was nowhere near "The Best Salad Dressing Ever" and had very little of what I think of as "Greek" flavor to it. It was acceptable as a quick dressing for a change of pace on a weeknight, but I would not serve it to company or anyone I wanted to impress with my cooking skill.

Blueberry Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
Very easy. Dough was not too sticky at all. They were very tender and not leaden, like so many scone recipes are.

Baked Ham with Orange & Ginger Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
I didn't feel that the glaze added anything to the ham except effort.

Italian Chicken with Garlic and Lemon

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2004
Excellent, and even better as a leftover. Deep-fryig the potatoes was a bit of a hassle as an extra step, but they were very good.
