German Sausage Chowder

Very tasty dish. I know maybe I shouldn't reveiw unless I made it according to the recipe, but I'm going to anyway, so here's what I did. I sauteed the sausage, added the onions and sauteed a little more, added the cabbage and sauteed a little more. Also, I love to cook my soups with wine, but that didn't seem right with this, so I added half a bottle of a harvest beer along with chicken broth and finished the recipe as written. Both kids liked this a lot, as did I, and I'm having the leftovers for lunch.

Caramel Apple Crisp

I was planning on baking this in the oven, like one of the previous reviewers, but I ran out of time, so I cooked according to the directions. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised! It wasn't quite as pretty as other crisps, but it was very tasty. I will try to bake another time, but when you're pressed for time, zapping this up in the microwave lets you have a great tasting treat quickly.

Amaretto Divine

This was very tasty and thanks for sharing. I would agree with other reviewers that it needs to cook longer ~ I had it in for 25 minutes and it was still a little undercooked, so I think 30 would have been perfect. Also, I only ended up using about half of the filling and frosting mixture and I very generously filled and frosted top and sides. This cake is great to customize yourself with so many flavors of cake mix, creamers, puddings, and liquors available.

Poblano Corn Chowder

I have a coffee shop and when I make this, customers rave. One day I had three ladies order 9 bowls to go! People call in to see when I'm making it. When I make it for home, my kids love it and they don't tend to be soup eaters. Thanks for this keeper.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

I like my Key Lime Pie very tart, so I too used 4 egg yolks, 2 cans of condensed milk and 1 cup of lime- and it was perfect! I used a ready made shortbread crust because it's more subtle that graham and I liked the way it turned out. There's also plenty of custard to fill the entire crust made this way.
