Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
This was my first attempt ever at making home made bread, and it came out AWESOME! My whole family loved it, even the ones that aren't crazy about pumpkin! I substituted white chocolate chips instead of regular and made my own glaze out of equal parts honey and low-sodium whipped butter. I will definitely make this again!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
We love these delicious cookies! They were a little cake-y but they tasted delicious. We used half and half white chocolate and semi sweet milk chocolate chips. Simply lovely, will make them again.

Shish Tawook Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
My boyfriend and I had never had Middle Eastern food before so I was sketchy about making this, but I must say I LOVED this recipe. As a few others suggested I added a bit of lemon juice to the marinade. The spices are heavenly! I didn't use the curry and left all of the other measurements intact. I would definitely make this again. I served this with Syrian green beans, toasted pita bread and wild rice pilaf.

Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
I definitely like this recipe, though I had to tweak it a bit. Firstly I noticed the mix was extremely dry and did not incorporate well, so I added a tablespoon of lowfat milk and a teaspoon of real vanilla extract. The flavor was perfect! The cookies came out crunchy around the edges, but soft and chewy in the middle. I also left out the walnuts since we didn't have any. These are great for a late night treat when you don't have the proper ingredients to make them from scratch. I will try what other users have suggested and use peanut butter in place of half of the butter/margarine next time.

Fasoliyyeh Bi Z-Zayt (Syrian Green Beans with Olive Oil)

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
Simple and delicious! This also tastes better the next day, after the garlic has had a chance to fuse with the olive oil.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
This was a nice, easy recipe that my boyfriend LOVED. We will definitely be making this one again! It's not quite healthy, but for a once-in-a-while treat, wrap the chicken in slices of bacon or turkey bacon before breading. The chicken will absorb some of the fat and it adds the right saltiness to make this dish even more delicious. Served this with rosemary garlic mashed potatoes and lemon pepper green beans.
