Rhubarb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
I loved this recipe. It turned out great. Lots of rave reviews from my guests. One note of warning - because my spring form pan was metal - the rhubarb started to corrode(sp?) the side of pan even though the cake was only in the plan for about 3 hours. Not sure what can be done to prevent this from happening.

Grandma's Rhubarb Torte

Reviewed: May 29, 2006
My family are big rhubarb crisp fans but this recipe was a nice alternative. I wasn't sure about the meringue on top but it complimented the rhubarb mixture nicely. It was my first time making meringue - it took longer to form stiff peeks than I expected.

Marinade for Steak I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
Delicious!! What a nice flavor. Our sirloin steak marinated in this recipe for only 4 hours melted in our mouths.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
This dressing was great. Everyone enjoyed the Greek salad I made. I scaled it down to 10 servings and it still made a lot. Thanks for posting this recipe - I'll definetly use it again.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
This recipe was good. I don't know if it called for pork chops with the bone in or not. I used 6 chops (medium thickness) without a bone. I cooked them for 6 hour on low in the slow cooker. I don't know what I did wrong but they were a bit dry. My kids ate them so I will more than likely make these again.

Chocolate Coconut Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
These bars deserve a better rating than 3 for their taste. They were pretty good. I was a bit disappointed because they looked pretty plain and I had a hard time getting them out of my baking dish. Mind you - that didn't stop my family from gobbling them up.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Delicious. What a great recipe. I don't have a good track record with baking and this turned out perfect. Don't let the crumbly texture after you have added the sour cream mixture to the dry ingredients scare you. I just pressed it together a bit before turning it out on the counter and then kneeded it as the recipe instructs. We served them warm with butter. They took approximately 20 mins to brown in my oven. We put the leftovers in an airtight container and they tasted great the next day.
