I'm a Mom who works full time. My kids are 11 (boy) and 8 (girl). We're a very busy family. I love to find recipes on this site and try them. Sometimes they turn out well and other times not so much. I'm very lucky because my husband will eat just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For years I have hosted Thanksgiving at our house. I look forward to it every year. It can be total chaos at times but in the end it all turns out just right.
My cooking triumphs
I made the 'Hot Cross Buns I' from this site. I had always been afraid to work with dough so it was a pretty big step for me. They turned out great so I have to say I'm very pleased with myself. I won't be afraid to try different dough recipes in the future :)

Heather's Best Ever Baked Chicken
This chicken was extremely tender and my kids loved it. I will make again because my kids will eat it :) I found it was a little bit bland for my liking.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II
I made this casserole yesterday and found it to be dry and didn't have too much flavour. In fairness I used 1% milk and perhaps should have used 2% instead. I also used 1/2 tsp of chili powder and should have used more. I'll try this recipe again as it was easy to prepare but will use 2% milk and more chili powder.

Hot Cross Buns I
Making these buns was the first time I've ever used my breadmaker on the 'dough' cycle. I'd never worked with dough before so I was a bit nervous. I'm happy to say these hot cross buns turned out great! I added the icing sugar criss/cross to the top but, to be honest, I preferred the taste without. A nice easy recipe for a rookie baker to try :)
