About this Cook
I grew up on a farm with two other siblings; my mother cooked in bulk to feed us all. While the recipes weren't very gourmet, I still learned to appreciate the art of cooking and baking. I am now getting into cooking and baking myself and I too have 3 kids to feed. Cast iron cooking is my new project and I am just starting to figure out where I am going in my cooking quests.
My favorite things to cook
It's not so much my favorite things to cook, but it's my kids. I have to cook what they will eat, which can be rather redundant. Spaghetti, sloppy joes, chicken manicotti, pancakes, and stir fry are the obvious staples in my dinner planner.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list here, but you can't be great without great failures.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole
Although I used a bit more ham and cojack instead of cheddar and also omitted the parmesan, my family demolished this dish. We ate it for brinner (breakfast at dinner), and it will definitely be made many more times.

Banana Banana Bread
Tasted like banana bread to me, but I'm sticking with Janet's Rich Banana Bread.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
This was easily the best chicken I have ever made, by ten fold. I followed the recipe to the T aside from the whole onion (I used half an onion) and I couldn't stop eating it. I have a 7 quart dutch oven with trivet that I cooked it in without the lid on. I was afraid it would get dry, but it was still very moist and flavorful. I am already looking forward to making this again.
