Yes!!! This was such a good meal for my Thanksgiving table. My sister and I were the only vegetarians, so I halved the recipe- it was so wonderful! I only did a couple minor things differently. Real butter, of course. Real eggs. I didn't sit the bread out to dry all night. I just set it in the oven for a bit to dry it out. It worked perfectly and allowed me to prepare everything the-day-of. And I bought an organic roll-out croissant dough as opposed to the puff pastry. This made it sooo good. This meal came out so tasty, I was so proud of myself. And I whipped it all together the morning of thanksgiving with no troubles.

Let's just say I altered this recipe a bit and not exactly for the better. It wouldn't stick to my waffle maker. It was also my first time using my parents age-old waffle maker, so maybe I just didn't know what I was doing in the first place. I'm now using the batter for pancakes- I think it will turn out better. They tasted good, but it was crappy that they stuck (like I said it was a contributing of factors that made my recipe fail.)

Super easy, delicious, sweet and fluffy. Perfect for a spur-of-the-moment urge to make cookies. Tina, maybe the problems you had were due to over-beating the batter, making the cookies too small, or having your oven too hot? Who knows? All I know is that I followed the directions and my cookies came out picture and palate perfect!
