I am Celiac so I must eat/cook only Gluten-Free foods.
I cannot have soy or lactose, either.
At first, this was quite a blow to me since I love to cook, bake and and love pasta dishes.
After becoming familiar with the many wonderful G-F websites, cookbooks, experimenting and adapting "regular" recipes to be G-F, I am cooking, baking and loving it all as much or more that before!
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything. I don't cook Asian foods because there are SO many wonderful Thai, Japanese (and other Asian) restaurants in Atlanta!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I did not grow up with cooking traditions (other than family get-togethers on holidays) but, I do bake pies at Thanksgiving and other holidays. I make pancakes once a week - every week - for my husband and me.
My cooking triumphs
I guess learning to cook gluten-free foods... that taste
as good as (or better, according to my sweet hubby!) than "regular" foods.
My cooking tragedies
Too many too mention! I have been cooking for more that 30 years! My first attempt at chicken and dumplings and my first cake were horrible... and not soon forgotten. I still have flops... some total, some not so bad... but they do help me learn.
