About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely LOVE baking cookies! I also enjoy making pancakes and never fail to to try something different.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, my Dad is the cook of the family. He always does the the holiday cooking and his food never fails to be delicious! My grandmother on my dad's side bakes and cooks a lot and my grandpa on my mom's side also loved to do the same. Good food runs in my veins!

Baklava
Too sweet! cut the sugar, and up to 3/4 cup honey. or jet reduce sugar. Keep watch to make sure it doesn't burn. I didn't quite reach 50 minutes. Negatives aside, tastes very good and traditional. Brought it in for a Greek history presentation in English class and everyone loved it! :)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Taste amazing! I tried with a little bit less white sugar, that's just the way I like them, and they came out fine. WARNING! Don't overcook! Bake until they just look soft, don't brown or they will become too hard as they cool. 10 minutes is it. They firm up once cool, for those who like crunchy cookies. Happy medium between crunchy and gooey. :) overall VERY good, my go-to recipe.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies
I made these cookies to try then out before Thanksgiving and everyone, including my mother who is not a pumpkin person, loved them! They're a soft, cakey cookie that actually tastes like fall. I did however make a few changes- I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar and only 1 cup of white sugar and since i didn't have cloves, I replaced all the spices with Penzey's pumpkin pie spice. They came out great, but do really taste better with the icing than without.
