Coconut and Chocolate Rice Crispies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
This was perfect for my chocolate/rice krispie craving! I prefer thicker bars, so I used an 8x10 inch pan instead of a 9x13, and it worked beautifully. I also added more coconut than called for because I like it, and pressed semi-sweet baking chips on top to make it extra chocolately in addition to making it look prettier.

Cinnamon-Apple Crostata

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I used homemade pie crust, and a quarter cup up white sugar as well as a quarter cup of brown sugar, only because I prefer brown. I also picked some apples off the tree outside despite the fact that they were frozen, and it seemed to make no difference besides reducing the time needed for the apples to become tender. (They made for some very cold hands, though!) This turned out beautifully; it's a definite keeper.

Grandmother's Polish Cabbage and Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
Wonderful base! It leaves plenty of room for additional veggies, meat and spices. I made mine with kielbasa, butter, cabbage, onion, garlic, garlic salt, chef seasoning, celery salt, white and black pepper, and egg noodles instead of bowties. The kids loved it and I will definately make this again.

Absolutely lovely cookies, I can't wait to bring these for the cast on the last night of our musical. I'm sure they will love them as much as I do.

Garlic Bread Fantastique

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
Absolutely fantastic!!! I used my own seasonings to taste (what ever looked good at the time) and would omit the salt next time, that said, it was still addicting. The loaf didn't last more than a few hours.

Beef Braciole

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
A nice, creative way to use steak. It took some time, since I made two pounds of steak, but the taste was well worth the effort :)

Country Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
I had some pie crust I made before sitting in my freezer to use so I decided it was quiche time. I used this recipe as more of a guide, in that I used a half pound of bacon instead of counting out 8 slices, about a cup and a half of frozen broccoli that I sautéed with the onions, everything that looked good in my spice cabinet, and a quarter cup of pepperjack instead of mozzarella cheese. I also generously sprinkled parmesan cheese over the top. It turned out fabulously. The entire quiche was eatten by 3 adults and 2 children in one night! I’m definitely making this again.
