Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
I used raw honey and brown sugar substitute instead of sugar. My husband said they were the best mashed sweet potatoes he's ever had and he had some a week ago that he loved at the Grand Lux Cafe (that's why I wanted to make some). This was my first time ever making home made mashed potatoes of any kind. I loved them. Easy and delicious. My husband thought they were better than candied yams too.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
EXCELLENT!!!!!! I used frozen bass from Costco and canned fiji apples so I didn't have to cut and peel the apples, and I used a tasty fish seasoning mixture instead of just regular flour, salt, and pepper. This was excellent!!!! Yum Yum.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2004
I read the reviews and decided to split the white and yellow parts of the egg. These pancackes were the fluffiest of all time, and my husband absolutely loved them. I added real bluberries. I made some with pecans, and some with cinnamon. Great recipe. Thank you. My husband really was impressed and appreciative. This was my first time making them from scratch.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2004
I enjoyed the sweet taste of this recipe. I used brown sugar substitute instead of regular brown sugar (I accidentally bought substitute instead of regular). I added ketchup and brown sugar sub in the meat mix in addition to just laying it on the pan. I also mixed in some bread crumbs as well as a slice of bread in addition to the crackers. The ketchup and brown sugar on the bottom really helped make the bottom of the meatloaf juicy. Usually, I add barbeque sauce on top of the meatloaf 15 minutes prior to the end of the cook time to provide a juicy taste - both together make a juicy meatloaf. A sweet tasting meatloaf.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2004
My husband loved the curry sauce for this recipe. He thought we could use the sauce as a curry soup. This was very tasty curry recipe and I'll be making it again. He loved it. I used chicken breasts, and Thai Coconut Milk.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2004
My husband absolutely loved this. This was great b/c it had a lot of common ingredients - I didn't have to run out and buy anything, and it was fast! Most of all it tasted absolutely fantastic - my husband couldn't get enough!
