Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
Pretty good. I used whole wheat flour. Indiscernible. I liked it most when it was still warm, but still yummy.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Good. Not sensational, but then again I'm not sure how iced tea can be sensational.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
Mmmm. I just bought a waffle maker. These were really good, a teeny bit dry, but very good. My SO thought these were better than the ones at Denny's (which is his fave), so I guess that's saying a lot. BTW, I followed the directions to the T

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
It wasn't bad, but neither superb. I lowered the recipe amount, using allrecipes.com serving calculator, and then followed the recipe to a T. Really sweet, kind of dry, and lacked salt. If I make this again, I'll lower the sugar quantity, increase the salt, and cook it for less time.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I'm sorry, but I soaked the cornmeal, beat it a more the second time and it still came out heavy and mushy in the middle. I thought it was an error on my part the first time, so I gave it another try, nope it was equally as bad. I feel bad for wasting good ingredients plus my time. I'm glad you others enjoyed it.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
I used heineken beer because that is the beer my family drinks ( I hate beer), everyone else loved it, I kept tasting the beer which grossed me out about it. I've had beer battered shrimp and never tasted the beer, I'm guessing heinekin has a strong flavor. If I make it again, I'll find a lighter tasting beer

Vodka Rigatoni

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2005
Maybe it was the red peppers, I used, but I didn't add any sugar either, and it still seemed too sweet. Also, the red peppers seemed overpowering, but it smelled wonderful.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2005
I made the sauce and used it on salmon instead, cuz that's what my SO requested, it was fantastic. Tastes better than some restuarants, and exactly like others, loved it.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2005
Ok I can't give this any stars because of all the changes I made. I followed the suggestions and added lemon juice, garlic and olive oil. It came out wonderful but, those were major changes that made the dish completely different. I don't know how it would've tasted with only rosemary and onion alone.

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
I wanted to give it a 4, but I figured the little things that were not so good were my doing. I used a shallower dish, so I assume the heat came up quicker, and made it bubble too much, making it unsightly (well not unsightly, just not typical brownie like). Aside from that, the texture was awesome, just how I like brownies. I threw in some kahlua about 3-4 tablespoons and everything was great, it tasted wonderful. this recipe's a keeper, even if it doesn't look so pretty.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2005
I followed the recipe to a tee, but instead pf serving the sauce over the pasta, I mixed the pasta into the sauce, so every one would get an equal amount of sauce. Well, there was not enough sauce for that amount of pasta, and that was the blandest stuff I've ever had.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
I thought this recipe was decent but not like "woopie". Maybe it needed more seasoning, or salt, but it was better than many recipes I've tried

Great idea. I made it last night and loved it. I mean one really can't go wrong with any of these ingredients. Since I love love love avacados, this recipe was a must try. I also added red onions because I just love red onions on any sandwich. Magnifique ! ! !

Fried Butterflied Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
So used the other suggestions and havled the cornstarch mixture but kept the eggs. My bf who is very very picky liked it alot and hs cousin as well but his brother claimed that it was awful ( I think he was trying to annoy me though). Anyhooo I als thought they were great and next time I'll get the shrimp already peeled, deveined and butterflied and the grocer's. That'll make it alot easier and faster.
