Lemony Turkey Rice Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
So simple to make and very yummy. I made it following the directions, yet thinking I might want to add something. But after tasting, I think it's just right!

The Most Incredible Garlic Bread

This was quite good. I didn't get all of the olive oil mixed into the cream cheese, but nearly. I used an immersion blender. It tasted great and was a hit at our dinner party.

Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Easy to make. Didn't change a thing since it was my first time preparing. Next time, I would add blueberries. But it was quite delicious as it was. We ate it warm with vanilla ice cream. Really hit the spot. One of the other reviewers thought 30 minutes was too long, so I checked it at 20 and let it go another 5 minutes. My husband likes crunch. I liked the topping with 25 minutes cooking time.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Quite good. I made them as written and enjoyed them. I would like to try some changes suggested by other reviewers. I think a small amount of a sweet bbq sauce on the bacon would be delicious. I had the broiler going, so chose to broil them. I place aluminum foil in the grilling pan and used a small grill to raise them.

Spicy Black Bean Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
Quite nice. Approved by daughter and husband. Easy to make and could make any number of variations. I made it as written, with only a couple of changes. I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream and put about 1T of cilantro in the cake. Served with lime cilantro rice and corn on the cob. Would love to try it with shredded sharp cheese in the burger. Will try it next time.

Roasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Easy to make and very delicious. I discovered that it would have been good to mash the garlic prior to mixing it with the butter. Regardless, it still tasted great. I put a few strips of mozzarella on top of half of the batch and those went first. I took another reviewer's advice and toasted the bottom first.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This was easy and delicious. I didn't have all of the ingredients. So I used 6 eggs, 2 cups of sharp chedder, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 1 bag of baby spinach wilted over sauteed onions and mushrooms and some left over sauteed beet greens. I can't wait to try this with broccoli and ham, red peppers, beans. This seems truly versatile and very healthy.

Blueberry Oat Bars

These are awesome. I was feeling kind of guitly about all the calories. The second time, I used "Can't believe it's not butter, half brown sugar and half whole wheat flour. They were still wonderful. Great way to use fresh blueberries.

Easy Polenta with Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This was easy to make. I used the Easy Polenta from this site. Put it in the bottom of a 3 qt casserole dish, placed the vegetable mixture, then cheese on the top. I used garlic instead of garlic powder. We all enjoyed it. Will make again.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This is an easy light dessert. I've made it a couple of times and it was well-liked by all both times. I didn't make any changes. Nutmeg or cinnamon might be nice mixed in with the blueberries, but it's not necessary. The first time, I made it with fresh blueberries, the second time with frozen wild blueberries. It was equally good both ways.

Vegetarian Baked Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
The whole family loves this pasta dish. It's easy to make, yet tastes like a million bucks. I had no idea gorgonzola cheese could be so good. I had some leftover from a recipe my daughter had tried and put it into the ingrediant search. I came across this recipe and figured we would give it a try. It's deliciously wicked! I've added zucchini because it needed to get used. I think you could probably add chicken as well, but I haven't felt like meat was necessary. We're not vegetarian's, but don't eat a lot of meat. Great recipe!

This cake recipe turned out great. I made it for my DH's bday. He loved it as did our other guests. It is very moist. I made it in a 9x13 pan and it cooked more quickly than the box stated that it would.

Very well liked by all. Easy to make. I used about double the coffee mixture as suggested and could have used more. But it was very good. No trouble with the filling or frosting made just as directed.
