About this Cook
Started to learn to cook and bake when i was a child. Learned a lot from my German Grandma, who had a repertoire of German and East Central European Cuisine. Mom and dad were great cooks and decent bakers and my two siblings are also great in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
Wow, that's a hard one... I'd have to say bread baking is my real passion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken and Spaetzle is one of the biggies.

Fabulously Sweet Pear Cake
Just tried this today. Substituted walnuts for pecans and sprinkled powdered sugar on top. Baking time was just about 50 minutes. I also used "wild" pears that grow on my property. These are smaller and not as sweet or tender as "regular" hybrid/grafted pears. Turned out wonderful! Excellent recipe.
