Hot Vanilla

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
I have never heard of this and happened across the recipe by accident. The kids had about 20 minutes until the bus came on our coldest day of the winter and this was a nice surprise. I hate that I only had one tsp of vanilla left though they still enjoyed sharing the cup. I went with some of the reviews saying to cut the cin. to 1/2 tsp and add 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and it was enjoyable. Thanx for the recipe.

Creamy Spiced Coleslaw

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
This is a GREAT recipe and as the author states, all the flavors compliment each other. I don't know if the original author actually uses a 16 oz bag of coleslaw mix or if she just assumed it is 16 oz but my bag was 14 oz. I added just a pinch less on all ingredients including mayonnaise to make up the difference. This will always be my go to recipe for slaw from now on.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
I enjoyed the texture though they were a bit bland. I had even added an additional TBSP of brown sugar. This is a great basic recipe that has plenty of room for improvement. Next time I will double the sugar, vanilla, add the cinnamon that a lot of reviewers have suggested and add about a half a cup of chocolate chips. This made 4 large waffles

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
This was perfect and not messy at all. I used gloves as well as Veg Shortening. I only used 2 cups of the conf. sugar and I promise you it was not too sweet. I will probably make this at least once a month if not more.

White Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
Just finished making some mac and cheese using this recipe as my base. I used 2 cups of milk instead of one and did not double the butter/flour. Once it began to thicken I started adding cheddar cheese, hand fulls at a time which came out to 3/4 cup (approx). I had boiled 3 cups of elbow mac and poured the cheese mix over it, stirring as I poured. I then salted to taste, about 1 tsp by the end of it all and the mac n cheese was perfect. Thanx for the basic recipe, I can't wait to mess around with it.
