Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
Excellent and so easy! I used mixed baby greens and added a little crumbled feta because that's what I had in the fridge (but goat cheese or gorgonzola would also be great), and I loved the extra flavor, texture, and visual appeal brought by the cheese. Note to those who thought this was too sweet: Don't just dump on ALL of the dressing at once-toss the salad as you gradually add dressing, just enough to lightly coat the greens. This recipe is a wonderful blend of flavors and textures, and I love that this salad looks impressive while being so easy!

It was just ok...we all ate it, but won't make it again....and nobody in our family of 6 non-picky eaters would touch the leftovers

Grilled Venison Backstrap

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
"FANTASTIC" & "AWESOME" are how my venison-hating husband described this recipe. He absolutely, without exception, despises all venison & any type of game...until now. He LOVED this dish & ate so much his stomach hurt...enough said.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
QUICK, EASY and DELICIOUS! I drained the sausage before adding onions & garlic. Substituted fresh basil for the parsley, and cooked it into the sauce for a couple of minutes at the end-and I think it added a wonderful flavor-otherwise followed recipe to the letter. This is a definite keeper!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! Our family of 6 was so busy inhaling this salad that there was no conversation at the table until the salad bowl was empty! Recipe is PERFECT as written... I did substitute Spring mix (about 8 ounces) just for color. I will use this salad the next time I want to impress a dinner guest :) Thank you so much for sharing the recipe, Michelle

Apple Raisin French Toast Strata

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Very good. Tasted better after it cooled longer (30-45 minutes). I drizzled about 1/2 c. real maple syrup over top of strata & that improved the flavor also. Tip: the cream cheese is much easier to cube if you partially freeze the block first.

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Great recipe... for picky toddlers. Just tasted like plain ol' buttered noodles...very disappointing after all the rave reviews. If you still want to make this, you'll need to add lots of salt & fresh ground pepper just to make it palatable.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Just okay--won't make again--waste of home grown blueberries (and zucchini). Even the kids don't like it...the crumb topping suggested by cookiequeen was by far the best part.

New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Bland! Served leftovers over pasta the next day and was much better that way... the flavors seemed to have blended more overnight. HOWEVER, if you are looking for New Orleans BBQ shrimp, there are better recipes out there.
