Great Pumpkin Dessert

This dessert is a non-entity - too mushy for cake, not pumpkin pie. I thought it might be good, given the reviews. I think it is very ... unlovely. Sorry.

Spicy Red Bell Pepper Soup

This was GREAT! I doubled the spices, since we like things hot, and used brown rice. Served with some toasted rye croutons and a tiny wedge of chili-lime gouda for garnish. Raves from my guests!

Excellent recipe. Couple recommendations. Put your fish in the pan, measure in enough water to cover, and then adjust the amount of sugar and salt proportionately. And watch the broiler carefully to avoid overdone fish. Excellent recipe. Thank you! We sprinkled two of our filets with cajun seasoning and they were the BEST!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

I am SHOCKED! I am a 49 year old veteran meat loaf HATER! It is a meal that makes me shrink as few others do. BUT I have a husband that likes meatloaf, so every 5 years or so I cringe and stir up a batch, figuring I can just lose weight that day. WELL! This meatloaf is SO good! The only change I made was to add 4 slices of crisply cooked and crumbled bacon before baking, and topped with a thin layer of shredded cheddar. AWESOME recipe! My family will now enjoy meat loaf as often as once per month! Thank you, Connie!

Curry Pork Tenderloin

Excellent recipe, but next time I will either halve the pork or double the sauce - there was little or no sauce to ladle onto the rice, which we prefer. I will also increase the curry powder and add about 1/2 t salt, as there is none besides the beef boullion, and it was needed. The general flavor and ease of the oven prep are great. Beef and Pepper Pie

I had a puff pastry made up, so used that. Used 3 fresh red peppers and sauteed them a couple minutes at the end of the browning of the beef. For as simple as this recipe is, it was very tasty. Thank you!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Very eagerly tried this recipe and followed it to a 't', even using the suggested cheeses. It was very tasty, as reviewed. However, my family and a guest agreed that the flavor did not merit the cost and fat of the ingredients. I will adapt this next time by using everything except will use 1 3/4 c milk mixed with 2 T flour instead of the cream.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Great recipe! After reading all the reviews (whew!) I decided to try a couple changes. I plopped 1/4 c scoops of this nice, thick batter onto baking stones and so the bread bacame little round 'soda buns'. I also used the butter/buttermilk mixture from 'Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread' and brushed the tops of my 'soda buns' twice when they were near the end of their 20 minute baking time! They were delicious and will be the base for our 'Make your own Irish Sandwiches' at a college ministry group tomorrow night!
