Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This (as a base recipe) was amazing! I added black beans, fresh tomatoes, fresh garlic, green pepper, a can of green chili peppers, and a larger amount of said spices, but wow! We ate some as chili, some in tortillas, and some as a dip with tortilla chips, but in all variations it was great! Will definitely be using this again!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Had a larger bag of spinach than the recipe called for (not quite double) but followed the recipe for the rest. Was very good, but next time will try the -cream cheese instead of mayo- suggestion of another reviewer...

Gluehwein

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I lived in Germany for several years and have missed gluehwein tremendously. I found this recipe this year and tried it using the recommended orange juice instead of water and a merlot for the wine. Amazing! Just as strong and fume-y as I remembered it (you'll see)! :) I will definitely be using this recipe again!

Kinderpunsch

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
I made this today for my office and used 1/2 apple juice, 1/2 white grape. Very, very syrupy sweet. I'm making it tomorrow with less sugar and I'm sure it will be much better. It was REALLY sweet and I can't stress this enough, but it was still a hit so great recipe (kinda)! :)

Bratwurst and Shrimp Boil

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
We loved this recipe and will be adding it to our normal rotation! :) We used 3 beers and a whole cup of seasoning (the recommended 3/4 Old Bay + garlic, cayenne, and red pepper flakes). I accidentally forgot the lemon! We also used kielbasa instead of brats, but wow! We'll probably include crab in the next round, but it really seems like one of those recipes that you just can't go wrong with no matter how you adjust for your own tastes!! Highly recommended!!

Sunshine Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Several years ago, a friend of mine made "eggs in a hole" and I wanted to cook them for my four year old. I found this recipe and it was a huge success. I fried the leftover pieces and called them moon toast, which we put jelly on. To please my fiancé (who loves meat), I sautéed ham, melted cheese over it, and topped with diced tomatoes which I served on the side. All in all, this celestial breakfast was great and I will surely cook it again!
