Fabulous Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
This was pretty good, it was different than a lot of fruit salads, the lemon yogurt was a nice touch. I should have left out the celery though, I just thought it was an odd taste and didn't really go with the rest of the flavors. Also, I think pecans might have been a better nut choice. I followed the recipe exactly except added grapes.

Fancy Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
Yummy! I served at a business lunch at my home yesterday, the whole platter of sandwiches was eaten and everyone was saying how good and different they were. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
Very good. I also used fresh mushrooms, fresh chopped onion, and miced garlic. I then added Italian seasoning to it and also substitued Marsala wine for the white. Very tasty, served over rice(Uncle Ben's Mushroom recipe). Yummy.

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This was pretty good, It was moist and tasty. I forgot to put the bouillon, and it seemed fine without it. I put the glaze on from the beginning of cooking, I like it to really be cooked on. It was great that way.

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2004
This was soooo good and sooo simple! My husband is doing south beach, so instead of bread crumbs I ground up some almonds and rolled the chicken in that instead and sprayed a couple sprays of "I Can't believe it's Not Butter" on top and it was still great! I have made it the original way as well, and this always tastes great! Thanks for the recipe!

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2004
I would have to agree with "ADZELL." These cookies were OK, my husband (who is a fiend for cookies) didn't really like them. The cookies did not spread at all and were very condensed and cake-like. I also found the flavor to be very bland. I took them to a small dinner and hardly any were eaten. Sorry, I will not make again.

Oatmeal Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2004
AMAZING.....I did not have any of the candy bars, but I had a bag of the toffee chips used for baking, so I just used those along with some semi-sweet chocolate chips. I t was wonderful. These are some of the best cookies I've ever made!!!!!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2004
Great way to cook tilapia! My husband was very impressed! I usually find tilapia too mild for my taste so this really kicked it up a notch for me. I did add Old Bay seasoning to the cream mixture as well as changed the celery salt to garlic. Very tasty.

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
Delicious! Light and perfect for a summer night in Texas! Made as is except with only one can of tomatoes (it was all I had) and twice as much garlic! Wonderful. Thanks for the recipe.

Delicious!!! I serve salmon 1-2 times per week already and now will probably be serving even more!! My 6 year old LOVED it and so did I. I did add a little Old Bay seasoning to it which I always add to salmon and we love it that way!!! Yummy!!! Thanks for the recipe.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
I had a problem getting these rolls to rise, and I followed the recipe perfectly. I was kind of disappointed after reading all of the great reivews. I will try again, maybe I did something wrong the first time.

Easy Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
This was pretty good, I layered it with rasberries, which really gave it a good flavor. Kind of bland, though without the rasberries. But after a heavy meal, it was what we needed.

Orzo with Mushrooms and Walnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
Moist and yummy but everyone was right about how much it makes. I halved the recipe and it still almost filled my dutch oven. Maybe half the recipe for 4-6 people. The walnuts are definately neccessary, though, would not have been as good without them.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
This was very good. My husband and I don't usually eat much asparagus, but he asked for seconds! Delicious! I made it exactly like the recipe said. It was a great side to the lobster I cooked for Valentine's Day!

Neptune's Favorite Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
I made this for Valentine's Day for my husband. I did cut down on the wine like other's suggested. We both liked it, but it just wasn't WOW good. Good enough, but I wouldn't make it to entertain with. It might be better with scallops or lobster, I used canned crab, maybe that was the problem.

Reese's® Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
My husband and son loved these! I caught my little brother sneaking out the door with them and had to take them back. He made me promise to make him a batch next time he comes to visit. Delicious but I agree that the peanut butter was a tad much and next time I will use semi sweet chips on top instead of PB and chocolate.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2004
Very good! I also baked them instead, to save on fat and calories, and they were yummy! I did 425 for about 15 minutes. I used the larger tortillas also, I had a hard time with the small ones, maybe next time I will try the egg roll wraps. My husband and son ate them all up and I served them with ranch mixed with salsa!

Elegant Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2004
This was pretty good, the sauce was amazing, and it was even better the next day. I did not use chipped beef, just left it out and that might help with the saltiness. I also cooked it at 400 for about an hour instead of 275. It was fine but I couldn't get the bacon to crisp up. Great tast, though, I will make again but next time will try the lower temp for 2 hours and hopefully it will help with the bacon.
