Yakisoba Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2004
This was my first try at Asian cooking. The recipe turned out great! I found the chili paste and the yakisoba noodles in the "ethnic" aisle at my regular grocery. I used a one pound bag of Dole's Classis Cole Slaw for the cabbage and carrots. Quick, easy and delicious.

Angel's Ravioli Alfredo with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
Good and simple. I prepared this recipe as directed. I think it needs more mushrooms. Next time I'll double the mushrooms but leave everything else the same. Thanks Angel

Easy Corn Chowder II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2004
Very Very Good! This was my first time to make corn chowder. I used this recipe as a guide and took some hints from other recipes and reviews. I used 2 cans of potatoes and doubled the corns. I also threw in a cup of chopped, cooked chicken. I also sauted the onion and celery in butter then added it to my saucepot. It really heated up quickly.

This was easy and wonderful. I have made Cornish hens before but the other recipes weren't as flavorful.

This recipe is so easy and flavorful. I didn't change the recipe at all. It tasted like something I would get at a trendy restaurant.

Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Jumbo Shells

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2004
This is a great basic recipe but I took several ideas from previous reviews. I cooked two chicken breasts and ground them in the food processor. I mixed the chicken with 1 cup ricotta,Italian bread crumbs, two eggs, chopped onion and the cheeses. I didn't heat this mixture(it packed easily into the shells). I also used jar spaghetti sauce and topped it with the remaining cheese. Perfect!

Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2004
Great taste! I had a little trouble keeping the burgers together on the grill(probably my fault) but next time I may add an egg the mixture.

This is fantastic! My kids loved it! I cooked the soup with the chicken and added 1/2 cup of milk. I also used 1/2 the cream cheese. Yummy.

Spicy Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2004
This was not so great. Too hot for me. Not a lot of flavor either. Be sure to wear gloves when you handle the habaneros. My fingers burned for three days.

Comforting Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2004
This was very good and very easy! The meat wasn't amazingly tender but the flavor was fantastic. I didn't use the cajun spice only the pepper. I bought the store brand of lemon-lime soda and it was wonderful. Be sure to only use 12 ounces. I served this over mashed potatoes. Next time I'll try it with pork chops.

Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2004
Very good. I made this pretty much as directed except I used a 4oz. can of chopped green chiles and substituted cumin and red pepper because I didn't have chili powder. I didn't have a problem with the biscuits being doughy. They were perfect after 28 minutes.

This was popular at my house. It looked a little dry when I was mixing it all together so I added 1/2 cup of jar spaghetti sauce.

Spicy Chile Casserole

This tasted good but was very mushy. Maybe I didn't cook my rue long enough. We ended up putting it in tortillas and eating it like a burrito.

I don't like beer but I loved this bread! I used Michelob and increased the sugar to 1/3 cup. This is so simple for such a moist and delicious bread. Made it twice in the first week.
