Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
I've made this many times and have adjusted as following: Use half brown sugar and half white sugar. Also, cut down the amount of sugar to about 1.5 cups total. Since the slices break easily, I just mash them up with a masher. This helps soak up the liquid, too. Thanks for sharing Pam!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
My boyfriend is Indian and has tasted many cur1ries but he says this is the best he's had! I did spice up the recipe, however, by adding cilantro and ground red pepper to taste. Let it simmer for longer than the recipe calls for otherwise it is too soupy.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
Valentine's Day tip: make this recipe in a heart-shaped pan. The bright red color of the jello makes it look like a big heart!

Naan

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
This was disappointing. I grilled the naan on the Foreman grill as one reviewer suggested, and it turned out too much like pita bread. It wasn't flaky at all.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
Amazing. I use Chessman cookies instead of the traditional vanilla wafers for a little twist.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
The only tweak is that I didn't saute the green onions - I don't think that's necessary. Served with a sauce made of mayo, garlic and lemon juice.

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
This was good, but kind of bland. To add more flavor, I added two cloves of minced garlic, garlic salt and red pepper powder. I used one package of low-fat cream cheese and one of non-fat cream cheese, and it still tasted as rich as needed.

Asparagus with Parmesan Crust

Love this recipe! The more expensive balsamic is worth it.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2005
Awesome! This recipe calls for WAY too much topping, though. 1/3 of the topping is sufficient. Also, the more blueberries, the better.

Wonderful and moist! I use up to 5 very ripe bananas for this recipe.

Smushed Apples and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
This was ok, but not sweet enough for me. I couldn't really taste the apples, either.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
My boyfriend has eaten salmon from all the best restaurants in Chicago, and he says THIS is the best!! I don't use parsley at all, but sprinkle some dill on after cooking. Also, I never bake it for longer than 40 minutes or it gets dry. THANK YOU for this recipe!!
