I made these for the very first time today, it took a bit of effort ( no breadmaker and just a hand held mixer with dough attachment), but OMG!!! SO worth it. Having read many of the earlier reviews (particularly, the one about how to make them without a breadmaker), I decided to double all the ingredients and make two batches. I actually used my crockpot (on the lowest setting) to raise the dough, and used a hot oven ...switched off before putting them in, to raise them again for 30mins). The only slight changes I made to this fantastic recipe, were:
I increased the amount of cinnamon by around 50%, and also increased the amount of frosting...just my own personal preference and tastebuds, but WOW! Fantastic recipe, definitely a keeper, thank you for sharing this recipe...I loved it SO much that I decided to write a review (which I never do). I had friends round for dinner and they loved these...my husband showered me with compliments, my home smelled like a cinnabon shop ( Heaven :) for me). I became addicted to these in the States, and have long lamented the lack of Cinnabons in Ireland. Thankfully, my craving is now satisfied, just have to pace myself to not make these more than once a month, ....too addictive! Finally, a real Cinnabon clone!
