Gwynn's cake for mom's 60th birthday
About this Cook
mom of 2, wife of most amazing man ever, lover of food, reading, sewing, skiing, swimming, poetry, writing, nature, and more.
My favorite things to cook
sweet treats, meals that my family loves, pretty much like to try anything once.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me to always cook with love, I love to cook her recipes: lumpia, adobo, fried rice, pork roast, tacos, chili etc. Cooking with my mom and sisters on Thanksgiving early in the morning, cooking with my babies and nieces and nephews at christmas, decorating cookies, cooking to me is about family, and love.
My cooking triumphs
When I can cook a meal for people I love, and it gets all eaten up, I know I have succeeded!
My cooking tragedies
When things don't turn out quite as expected, but I keep on trying!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Super easy recipe. I used a frozen pork tenderloin, turned the slow cooker on high for the first 1.5 hours, then turned it to low! A great week night dinner, couldn't have been easier to make!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake
DELICIOUS!!! This is the best dessert I've ever made! I had extra rasberry puree and used it to drizzle over the top and when I plated the slices for serving. This recipe is a keeper!

Emma's Belgian Waffles
I've tried every waffle recipe on this site, this is the one that turns out the best. I took the advice of one cook and added corn starch and instead of stacking them, I placed them on my oven rack. They turned out perfect! I always add chocolate chips to a few of them, and they're the favorite treat around here!
