Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
THIS IS FABULOUS! my husband and i both LOVED it. I only added 1/2 tsp of salt to the marinade... and then left out the salt in the rest of the recipe. it was VERY VERY hot, but so flavorful. the tomato cream sauce was out of this world. (would like to find a way to make it NOT using heavy cream though) I served it over jasmine rice.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
this was my first ever attempt at candy making. (i used no thermometer, i just went by the color of the toffee as it cooked) i had NO problems with the butter separating or burning. i stirred it occasionally not constantly. I did add 1 tsp vanilla, and incresed the salt to 1/2 tsp. Also, right before i poured the toffee into the pan to cool, i stirred in chopped (and skinned) almonds. The chocolate that melted on top, i left plain. IT TURNED OUT FABULOUS. almonds throughout the toffee and smooth chocolate on top.

great recipe, simple too (i omitted the sugar though and used no garlic) make sure you dont add too much flour, you dont want hard dough, soft dough puffs up nice on the grill. tasted good

Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
These were a VERY good healthy alternative to a traditional pancake. I substituted applesauce for the oil, and I added 1.5 T cider vinegar to the milk in place of buttermilk. I omitted the sugar altogether and put in 4 pkts of Splenda and one ripe banana. I ground up the oats AND pecans. I added cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla, and ground flaxseed. These were thick, a little dense, and not hard to flip at all. Use a big spatula!

Japanese Peanut Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
This was SO good, so much better than bottled dressing and better than a restaurant. I DID make some changes though, just to suit my own taste. Instead of 1/2 cup canola, I used a 1/4 cup canola and 1/4 cup dark sesame oil. I added about 1 1/2 TBS peanut butter to give it more substance and about 1 tsp cayenne pepper for some heat. I omitted the chopped peanuts and the green onion, but still used the sesame seeds. It turned out so flavorful and it's my favorite dressing now.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
Out of this WORLD! SO easy to make. Makes a lot. I thought it might be too strong when I tasted it as it simmered, but when I basted my ribs with it, it toned down. I will never use another kind of bbq sauce!

AWESOME! I made things a little easier to assemble, I just mixed it all together and poured half into a 9 x13 dish, then I layered on the provolone, then poured in the rest of the mixture, LOVED IT!
